Hi

Im on cycle day 165 after coming off Yasmin.
I have had a few blood tests and all came back normal.
I’ve read online that acupuncture can help to induce your period and helps to regulate cycles. Anyone got any knowledge / experience with this?
Thanks

I've just had my first period in 6 months after 3 acupuncture sessions in a week, plus the herbs that were suggested to me - if it's a coincidence, it's a pretty big one! I had really bad blood test results too following 8 months of regular periods after stopping the pill.

Is your BMI ok? My period stopped for a year as a teen due to weight loss. Even after I regained weight they didn't come back so the doc did a progestin challenge, seemed to kick start my periods and I had regular ones since.

I'm assuming your GP will want to arrange a scan to check for maybe polycystic ovaries?

I'm not far enough down the road with acupuncture to know how my periods will continue (the acupuncturist said it can take about 3 months but some people will respond quicker!)

Hi, I was just wondering if you had any luck with acupuncture and when did your periods come back as I’m currently having the exact same problem? :)

@Chloerobinson97

I had about 6 weeks of acupuncture as AF was missing for 12 weeks after mc. AF finally arrived at week 18, 3 weeks before my due date.

I find it quite relaxing and the session before my AF, I had a mammoth session of an hour and half and just felt amazing afterwards, few days later she arrived x

@TTCROYGBIV that’s amazing, I have heard really good things about it and I’m looking forward to starting! Do you find that your periods are regular now? X

TTCROYGBIV · 15/01/2021 22:09

@Chloerobinson97 I went for 18 weeks without AF after the mc, then had a 15 day cycle, then 22 and the last was 25 which was my norm before the mc.

I’m doing a non-supplement cycle for this one, although I stopped taking the b6 and b vits during those 18 weeks, so may have a shorter cycle again this cycle.

My acupuncturist has checked my temp charts (I use Ovusense) and she would like my temps to have more of a temp shift at ovulation and steady increase in the luteal phase as mines a bit slow and flat. But she’s going to work on that over the next few sessions.

Expensive but well worth the money x
