Could this be implantation bleeding?

I’m going to sound unbelievably foolish but please don’t judge me. I am an adult and can deal with the consequences of my silly actions if need be and learn from my mistakes....

I had sex with DP on Day 13 of my cycle. We use the ‘pull out’ method and have done for about 4 years with no problems. For the last six months he has been on medication which means it’s extremely hard for him to orgasm (and ejaculate). It means we barely ever have sex and when we do, he never finishes.

As a result I haven’t been too worried about using this method, as even when he could finish he always knew when to pull out in time. But on this occasion he DID finish, and he said something ‘may’ have gone inside me, even though the majority of it happened after he pulled out (sorry if tmi).

Now, I’m pretty certain the next night I ovulated as I always get a pain in one of my sides, extra discharge and sore breasts. I panicked and tried to get the morning after pill. I live in a small town and the chemist said they ‘don’t do that’ (weird), so I got NHS Direct to send me a prescription to another chemist. I got there and they said it was out of stock! I went to another and explained and they said it wouldn’t work if I wasn’t ovulating :s

Fast forward and on Day 26 of cycle I notice I’m bleeding. This is strange as usually my period arrives exactly 2 weeks after ovulating. It was a light flow, and is still going periodically after 2 days.

I’m obviously concerned as this isn’t normal for me- I usually have medium to heavy flow and it doesn’t arrive this soon after ovulation. Am I being paranoid or has anyone else experienced this and was actually pregnant?!

It doesn’t sound abnormal to me, it’s more than possible you ovulated earlier than you think, you’re just having a lighter period or you are having a slow starting period. You can’t really use just pains and sore boobs as a sign of ovulation. Cycles can change now and again for no reason which is why the pull out method isn’t very reliable. It sounds to me like you don’t want to get pregnant in which case I would strongly advise using another method of contraception. Even the most regular of cycles can fluctuate sometimes. I personally don’t think implantation bleeding would resemble a light period to be honest although I’m sure someone will come on and tell me I’m wrong because they had a week’a worth of IB lol

I had implantation bleeding with both my children. It was literally a dot of blood on my underwear. I think like bubblegum has said our cycles can change sometimes, I’ve had a random early or late period. Saying that some people bleed throughout pregnancy, guess you give it time and then do a pregnancy test to be sure
