STRANGE GOINGS ON ... IS IT POSSIBLE

Hi,

For the past week or so I've been getting a lot of Nausea, mainly in the mornings but generally throughout the day. I've just had my 1st proper period after having my coil removed (which makes me wonder ). i'm not on any medication & I've not eaten anything dodgy. Nothing at all has changed.

I keep getting this feeling that i need to burp but it's stuck and when i try force it out as it's uncomfortable and makes me feel more sick that makes me bork.

I have been feeling hot but that could be down to the period and elevated temp during.

I do normally have a heavier period but i wouldn't say it was light more med flow. But i usually get bad cramps and nothing no cramps which was a nice surprise as i have endometriosis so i usually get bad ones. Just seems very strangely coincidental it started when i came on.

Google is terrible for Nausea searches and not very helpful.

Just wondered if anyone had a similar experience as i don't want to make a fool of myself going to the doctors over nothing.

Thanks in advance

Bumping for you OP. I suspect it's not pregnancy, you'd be really early for nausea to start. It would be worth raising with your GP in case it's a gastric / gall bladder issue.

I really wouldn't bother the GP with this. They'll only ask you if you've taken a pregnancy test.

It's probably unrelated or just you're noticing your cycle etc more because you're no longer on contraception. I found I got quite weird nausea around ovulation (I think - not ovulating regularly) when I came off the pill. I obsessed over it for a couple of months but it was nothing and I might not have even noticed it had I not been TTC.

If it doesn't go away after a while then go to the GP but until then I wouldn't bother. Good luck!

Just read the PP and reread your OP - if it's already been going on over a week then unlikely to be ovulation nausea. If you're worried then of course go to GP, I was reading it as in you were thinking the nausea was because you were pregnant, in which case don't bother with the GP as they'll only tell you to do a home pregnancy test!

Hope you feel better soon!

I've never had any ovulation nausea etc i usually just get a few cramps and boobs a bit heavier so i don't think its ovulation related.

I don't want to do a HPT as i just feel a bit silly after having bleed and i don't want to obsess. (and waste a small fortune on many tests ha)

I read on google about Gastro problems, never had anything like this any one had any experience or know what the causes are ?

thanks

I had really weird nausea just before my first period off the pill. It can just be a hormone thing. If your coil was one of the hormone ones, then it could just be your body readjusting.

I would say that if you’ve had a bleed then it’s likely not a pregnancy symptom :(

This is still going on and now i'm getting a water infection too :-(
