Exactly :) I don’t know how people do this for years and years. I just couldn’t. I’m annoyed at myself for already wasting so much time, I don’t want to waste any more!

Hopeislost · 17/05/2018 18:04

Just got the results back from DH's SA. Everything is way below the reference numbers. So I don't ovulate and he has no sperm. Absolutely devastated!

bridget33 · 17/05/2018 18:16

Oh @Hopeislost - sorry to hear this. He would need to have a second one to double check though. My DH was slightly low so is being re-tested next week. He also drank a lot the weekend before and the dr thinks that may have had something to do with it. If you're not ovulating has clomid been suggested yet? Don't lose hope just yet!

Hopeislost · 17/05/2018 18:28

@bridget33 It just came as such a shock as we assumed the only problem was me. Clomid has been mentioned but I have to have a HSG first.

LexieJean · 17/05/2018 18:44

Sorry for the crappy news @hope 💐

LookingAtTheStars89 · 17/05/2018 18:47

@Hopeislost I'm sorry to hear that x x

Paranormalbouquet · 17/05/2018 18:59

Hopeislost I’m sorry it wasn’t better news.

FairyAnn · 17/05/2018 20:47

So, had my hysterosalpingogram today.
Spoilers below...don't read if don't want to know

It was the worst pain I've ever been in, and I once got acid in my eye.
Thankfully everything was clear so I'll never have to go through that ever again.
Advice for anyone having it - take painkillers before you go in, take a sanitary pad, and book the day off work. You won't feel like doing anything but lying on the sofa afterwards.

Chooklass · 17/05/2018 22:40

Oh no @FairyAnn !! I had hysteroscopy today and found it was awful! Worst pain and felt faint all day since. I heard hycosy wasn't as bad (got that next month) 😱

WonkyDonk87 · 17/05/2018 23:21

Sorry for the news @Hopeislost
Hope you feel better tomorrow @FairyAnn

Xxx

starwishing · 18/05/2018 08:09

So what's worse than FP? Being woken up at 3.15am for it to start and then not being able to get back to sleep when you have a full day of teaching. Watch out kids Miss is cranky for a million reasons! However we have a month off now because we might go on holiday and we won't dtd then due to having a 3yo in bed with us all fertile week!

Sorry to start the day with a whinge but it's a sucky world in star village today!

Hopeislost · 18/05/2018 09:18

Thanks guys. Have made him start taking multivitamins but don't know how much use it will be!

@FairyAnn Eek! But thank you for the honesty. I need to book my HSG once FP arrives so will make sure I don't have to go back to work afterwards.

Bubblegum89 · 18/05/2018 09:30

Hope sorry to hear your news :(

FairyAnn my hsg was a breeze lol funny how people have such different experiences. Also, acid in your eye..?

Well I found a frer when looking for socks this morning so figured I’d just do it and get it out of the way and as I wiped after doing it, there was a streak of red blood and I actually laughed out loud. I always say if you want your period to start, take a pregnancy test. So anyway, it’s not actually started yet, I’ve just gone back to getting white creamy cm but I assume it’ll be here in full force by this afternoon. So maybe I did ovulate after all but I genuinely think my sis/hycosy has messed me up. My opks etc were all fine up until I had it done and in the months since I had the tests, my opks haven’t worked and my cycles have been a bit patchy. I don’t know if that’s even a thing but I don’t know, seems a little coincidental to me...

FairyAnn · 18/05/2018 09:46

Yeah, sorry for scaring some folks. It was the dye going in that really hurt - like period cramping x 10. One of my tubes was taking its time to inflate and I was close to saying 'Nope! I'm done!'

But as Bubblegum89 says, for some people, it's okay so fingers crossed for you all I'm just a one-off!

Yeah, got the wrong contact lens solution back in the day when there were types that could really hurt

starwishing · 18/05/2018 18:26

@Bubblegum89 is HSG where they put the dye through to check for blockages? My first one was fine last year and my second was during my laparoscopy for endometriosis and that was fine too. I was cooking dinner and putting the wash on that afternoon and the next day building a playhouse (it was Easter holidays because I didn't want a day off work). I even dtd the following night!

FairyAnn · 18/05/2018 21:06

I clearly have a low pain threshold Grin or my uterus was more like a scrunched up balloon that needed a lot of inflating!

WonkyDonk87 · 18/05/2018 21:36

Ugh. Having a total grump today ladies. Still have four months before I can go back to the GP for referral for investigations, don't even know if they'll refer me to fertility clinic or if I'll have to go to gynae first even then. So fed up with waiting. I'm clearly broken somehow after this long.

Bubblegum89 · 18/05/2018 21:54

Yep star :)

FairyAnn I have a very high pain threshold! I did get uncomfortable cramps during mine but nothing I couldn’t handle but then again, I deal with pain well most of the time.

How come you have to wait another four months wonky?

My period has been a bit weird today. Was getting stabby pains in my left side. Then very mild cramps. But all I’ve had in my mooncup both times I’ve changed it has been a few drops of brown blood and a little bit of red tinged cm. Even after a bm this evening, not had anything. I’ve just taken it out now. The cramps have gone completely. So I guess my hopes of some decent periods finally have gone out of the window!

WonkyDonk87 · 18/05/2018 21:59

Two years TTC before they'll do anything other than bloods (only day 5 in my case as 21 pointless due to irregular cycle). So fed up. Sorry your FP is crap. How's the mooncup? I've been meaning to get one for ages.

starwishing · 18/05/2018 22:10

@WonkyDonk87 mooncups are the way forward. At 3am I cold t be bothered faffing and knew FP was upon me early so I just popped mine in easy as you like without effort. Plus there's no grim chemical smell or threat of TSS

Bubblegum89 · 18/05/2018 22:17

Really? That’s crap wonky so weird how they have such different rules in different areas. And I love my mooncup although I do sometimes find myself swearing at it when I’m trying to get it in and the suction doesn’t work properly so I have to try again then I end up twanging myself in the vag trying to get it out. But once it’s in, it’s much better. You can sleep in it and leave it in for longer. Although I read an article lately RE TSS and mooncups and apparently they’re worse for it due to the air between your cervix and the mooncup once it’s suctioned in being a breeding ground for bacteria or something or other. I don’t know how true that is. I always sterilise mine before I use it anyway. I would recommend one over tampons any day though, so much better for the environment as well :)

WonkyDonk87 · 18/05/2018 22:23

Hmmm, interesting. I've been debating reusable pads because of the environmental impact. I LOVE tampons for ease, comfort and discretion but hate the waste. Considering mooncup for similar reasons.

The two year rule is very frustrating when I know elsewhere I'd be getting help already. Especially when that's only the start of waiting lists and fumbling around in the darkness of my tumblewomb. I'm the last one of my friends and family to have children and I can't help fearing it's never going to happen.

starwishing · 18/05/2018 22:26

On a random note. Today was cd1 for me and my vaj was throbbing at midday! Actually hurting like it had been bruised! Completely fine now though. Why is it so hard to be a girl?!

starwishing · 18/05/2018 22:26

Sorry for saying vaj

LookingAtTheStars89 · 18/05/2018 22:32

@starwishing. Mine feels exactly like that during my period. Sometimes it feels that tender I could cry!
