There’s a good chance that was too late. Ideally for 31 day cycle should be taken day 24.

Spottyyellowdress · 09/05/2018 16:18

@paranormal Shit, I thought I’d calculated it right! Thought if I’d had a positive day 17, ov’d maybe two days later then day 27 is 8 days after that... I’ve pullled myself together a bit now and realised it’s silly worrying until I can see a doctor.

Paranormalbouquet · 09/05/2018 16:21

No need to panic. I think when repeating it if you don’t have a 28 day cycle it makes sense to do at 21, 24, 27 days if that makes sense, to try and catch it properly.

Hope chat with doctor goes well.

bridget33 · 09/05/2018 16:33

Am driving myself insane today...I have the worst pelvic cramps and I'm not due on for another week. As I love to symptom spot, I have checked my fertility apps and it looks like I often have cramps quite a few days before FP, I just don't remember them being this bad. Does anybody else have the same? Am thinking of starting a ttc diary so I can make a note of my symptoms as I always forget them and convince myself it may just be my lucky month. :-(

LexieJean · 09/05/2018 16:48

@bridget have you tried the Ovia app? It’s very detailed so you might find that useful as a symptom diary!

I’ve occasionally had cramps 5or6 days before FP showed up.

bridget33 · 09/05/2018 16:53

Thanks @LexieJean - that's the one I use as well as flo! I just think previously I have only had intermittent cramps but they they are pretty unbearable today. Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me. I did a test earlier and it was negative - what a numpty as I'm only five days post ovulation. I need wine...

LexieJean · 09/05/2018 16:57

@bridget put it down to trapped wind and have a glass of vino?! 🤣

bridget33 · 09/05/2018 17:13

Ha ha! @LexieJean - good advice! Am one crazy ttc lady today! X

LookingAtTheStars89 · 09/05/2018 18:31

@owlpatrol. The libido thing has subsided lol and when we dtd last night - there was no sensation down there at all Shock I was like "Well...shit...best acting face on" lol. I think I'm experiencing a hot flash. My whole body is hot and I feel very Sad and Angry. I just had a bit of a thing with DH, when you're hormonal it feels like everyone is against you Confused lol. I'm really hungry too, especially for sugary food.

Owlpatrol · 09/05/2018 18:34

@LookingAtTheStars89 argh darn it! To be fair I'm horny like 2 days of the month rest of the time he can do one lol!! What cycle day you on? I'm cycle day 14 so should have ovulated by now my nipples confirm this lollllll

LookingAtTheStars89 · 09/05/2018 23:51

I've not had a very good night tonight! I had a terrible mood swing so I went out for a walk to get some milk and on the way there I started to feel a little lightheaded but I carried on walking to the shop and by the time I got there I felt really weird, like I was going to pass out Confused.

I had to get my friend who lives up the road to pick me up in her car and take me back home! I don't know whether it's like an after affect of the clomid or what. I was quite scared though.

Chooklass · 10/05/2018 07:26

@LookingAtTheStars89 I hope you are okay now? Clomid side-effects sound like hard work, but hopefully worth it in the end.

@Spottyyellowdress My first day 21 results were the same. We had to try a few months to time perfectly with 7 days before FP, but when we did it was fine. Try not to worry! When I had my first test the doc even said it usually takes a few months to catch it properly.

Urgh, yammers - I'm feeling really low today. FP due today or tomorrow and I'm really crampy, teary and spotting turning redder, so sure it's imminent. Really got hopes up this cycle, for no reason really. Been on healthy low-sugar diet for about 2 months now (for pcos) and feeling like it might be a waste of time, as post-ov spotting and cramps have been worse than ever. Trying to focus on the improvements in my skin and weight, but even that's not cheering me up today! I can't imagine it ever happening.

WonkyDonk87 · 10/05/2018 08:01

Hello ladies, sorry for radio-silence recently - been in a bit of a head-funk

Chooklass I'm sorry you're feeling crap today. Two months of low sugar is amazing work, you should be proud of yourself! I couldn't do a week. Don't think of it as a fad diet if it's helping in other areas, think of it as a lifestyle change for good. Incoming FP is always fucking shite, can you do something for yourself that doesn't involve eating a family size galaxy bar?

Looking are you feeling ok now?

Chooklass · 10/05/2018 08:42

Hi @WonkyDonk87 - good advice! I'm definitely seeing it as a lifestyle change rather than fad. Sorry for the pity party! FP arrived just after last post. Had a wee cry now getting on with day. FP days are my treat days so there may well be a giant galaxy bar involved! Not had ANY chocolate since last FP day! - just off to polish my halo (with chocolate, and gin)

WonkyDonk87 · 10/05/2018 09:05

Gin at 9am? HmmGrin whatever gets you through the FP ha ha

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/05/2018 09:34

@Chooklass. And. @WonkyDonk87. I feel a bit better today, I'm a bit crampy all over which is a bit crap. I figured out what was going on, I've experienced it a few times before, like when I had an epidural for DD, my blood pressure dropped drastically to like 60/40! It's an odd feeling, like tingly and then I can almost feel my heart slowing down. Not pleasant at all.

@Chooklass. I'm sorry about FP x x

LexieJean · 10/05/2018 09:54

Sounds scary @looking I hope you’re feeling better today

I love that you’re on the gin already @chooklass and I think it’s amazing you’ve reduced your sugar intake. I know a few yammers have done it and I’m really impressed. Sorry for FP. There seem to have been quite a few optimistic yammers this month (myself included), maybe it’s the spring air!

@wonky hope you’ve pulled through the head funk 💐

Paranormalbouquet · 10/05/2018 09:59

Chooklass sorry about FP. LookingAtTheStars89 I’ve had friend use clomid, they’ve all had a tough time with side effects so sound like you are doing very well.

More bleeding from me last night- quite a bit and red. GP had arranged an EPU scan for this morning for reassurance (in a different EPU than last time given the horrible experience) and they were much nicer. Went in much calmer than I thought possible, resigned to bad news. I still have a large haematoma but the little bean is hanging in there.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/05/2018 10:14

@Paranormalbouquet. It's funny, you'd think you'd experience the effects on the days you actually took the drug and not after!

I'm sorry you had another bleed Flowers I've had pregnancy bleeds and they make you feel sick to your stomach. Mine was always unexplained. What causes haematoma's? Is it just random? I'm little bean was ok x x

Paranormalbouquet · 10/05/2018 10:21

@LookingAtTheStars89 it makes sense when you see how clomid works. The idea is to block oestrogen, triggering a rise in LH which in turn triggers ovulation. So the effects will be prolonged.

I think the haematomas are a bit random, they can form at time of implantation or can be a failed twin implantation. They seem to be fairly common though.

LexieJean · 10/05/2018 10:48

Hang in there little @para bean! God I can only imagine how scary the bleeding must be. You’re sounding strong and calm though @para 🤞

BGDino · 10/05/2018 13:04

Did anyone else feel really sad/angry/guilty when they found out they’d need some sort of fertility assistance? Feels like I haven’t done much except cry for the last 48 hours, and I can’t even put into words what exactly it is that I’m upset about :(

Spottyyellowdress · 10/05/2018 13:18

@BGDino I’m feeling exactly the same. My husband was so convinced there wasn’t a problem and that I was being impatient and then to see his face fall yesterday just made me so so sad. Makes me feel broken and a bit useless to not be able to perform the one function we exist for!!!

Si1ver · 10/05/2018 17:47

@BGDino really fucking angry. Pissed off with all the people who conceive easily. More pissed off with my PCT for not helping me. Rage that my husband and I can't adopt because of the miscarriage. Feeling like I'm being punished for not meeting my husband until later on.

It's crap.

Si1ver · 10/05/2018 17:48

Actually on that note Yammers, all five of my eggs have made it to day 3. We have four grade ones and a grade three. Embryo transfer is scheduled for Saturday morning first thing.
