Omg @SoozC congratulations!!

Thank you Bubblegum for the tips 're cramps

Im so over being not pregnant now. I've never had a bfp let alone a line or even an evap just to have some hope. Other than the cramps I've not noticed anything this tww to make me think I could be preggers I think joining the yammers has been the best thing for me in terms of reality checking Lol!

Had a productive day in other news...gardening and sunbathing drinking gins been lovely! Smile hope everyone had a good day x

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 07:58

Oh FFS. Just re-tested in case my evap was in fact a faint positive (given I did it at 5pm after drinking lots). Nope. Stark white bfns this morning. Why do I fucking do it to myself?

Paranormalbouquet · 22/04/2018 08:14

Bubblegum I would definitely ask to be checked out. Chances are it’s nothing serious but better to have everything checked out before you think about IVF.

@WonkyDonk87 sorry about the BFN. We’ve all been there and done the same thing though, you are in good company.

Catscakeandchocolate · 22/04/2018 08:25

Sooz congratulations i am so pleased for you. I have continued lurking on these threads hoping for good news for all of you. Fingers crossed for a stress free pregnancy. X

Morning ladies! Welcome to this months knocker watch in the wishing household! Today is FP prediction day according to ovia and glow. In all my years of being an egg producer it's always started early hours but the last year or so has become unpredictable to say the least. I have no clue though. As there's zero symptoms of either outcome 😂 saying that I had zero indication I was pregnant with Bear and did t know till 7/8 weeks. Also in previous months I usually have a few days of cramps before but I think that might have been the endometriosis doing its thing. This new virginity of being cobweb 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 is very exciting!

Si1ver · 22/04/2018 10:05

Congratulations @SoozC. I'm very pleased for you, I wish you a dull and eventless next eight months.

My FP turned up today, IVF protocol starts tomorrow.

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 10:06

Thanks Para
Spent my morning having a massive ugly-cry on DH (not a common experience for me but I find test days the worst of all). We've had a big chat about giving this our all before throwing in the towel so I'm going to start OPKs and temping. Anyone have any advice/links/suggestions of apps to use? I did a quick google search but can't work out which is best for irregular cycles.

catherine1988 · 22/04/2018 10:13

Congratulations on the the bfp, well done and fingers crossed. Told you this would be a good thread for bfp.

I am having a sad day, TTC for almost 2 years, almost the wrong side of 30, never had a bfp and it is raining. It hard to stay upbeat about waiting for IVF appointments. Definitely not the stuff of dreams. I have a few friends on FB who are pregnant and posting ever day about bumps and all the shite of the day. I doesnt bother me, the mind just boggles about how they got to be so happy go lucky and I didn't

Bubblegum89 · 22/04/2018 10:19

Sorry about the bfn wonky :( and sorry about fp si1ver bastard thing

RE my insides falling out through my vag, I’ll call my GP this week. She’ll probably laugh at me and/or throw up 😂 but best to check I guess.

Also, I have completely lost my sex drive. Like, 100%. I used to be after it all the time, even outside of FW but for the last month, I’ve had zero interest. My OH tries to initiate it but I kind of brush it off and say I’m tired or whatever. I don’t even DIY anymore lol I’m just not interested in any of it. I don’t know why, has anyone else had this?

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 10:33

Mine's ebbed and flowed tbh Bubble, but in general it's still 100% better than when I was on contraception (NEVER taking that again! Made me miserable and a horrible person, but only realised when I'd come off it). If mine's lower, it's generally a sign of stress, even if I didn't think it was. I make an effort to do some yoga/bath and book etc for a few days and it often returns.

"RE my insides falling out through my vag" made me snort-laugh. Shame you can't email your GP using that as a title Grin

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 11:06

@catherine1988 Sorry you're having a shit day. Thanks Are you thinking IVF then? We've been trying for 18months but can't have a referral for even investigations until 2 years.

MynameisJune · 22/04/2018 11:49

@wonky sorry for the bfn, thoroughly shit to see big hugs.

@si1ver sorry for fp arriving but at least you can start the protocol, good luck!

@catherine sorry you’re having a shit time. I seem to be surrounded by pregnant women everywhere at the minute and it’s hard not to compare and wonder why.

catherine1988 · 22/04/2018 12:18

@wonkydonky89 so we got refered for IVF just over two months ago. I think the funding here is so that you are getting IVF at the 2 year point. After my horrific hycosy experience I booked a private fertility consultant at the Nuffield. We were told by Nuffield that the sperm had come back 90-95% coated in protein a test the NHS doesn't test for until the last min. Making it not impossible but very very unlikely that we would ever manage to get pregnant naturally. They offered us icsi straight off as we had been trying for more than 6 months been trying for 18. The world health also says if the mars is over 50% that fertility is compromised. However my nhs team says that it doesn't matter cause they only do isci and no IVF. Which would be the treatment for positive mars tests. So the NHS team have us down as unexplained infertility and we are in the waiting list. So my tail of woe... the co ordinator told me august/september which isn't too bad. It is just hard to stay positive sometimes. Just shows you how if your healthly with no gyne problems, active with a good bmi, don't smoke, don't drink much, start trying as a newly wed with your husband in your 20s life doesn't find a way. I literally set my whole life up for having a family and it feels like that has been taken away. I had no reason to think it wouldn't work. If we do manage to get pregnant with icsi the chances of birth defects and abnormalities is higher, it is a high risk pregnancy and far more likely to be premature. No one is guaranteed a healthy baby but this is the start point. Im just terrified and sad and just wishing away time till we start. Sorry about the moan I don't mean to be a downer but this month has been so hard

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 12:30

Thanks for your response @catherine1988 , really helpful. Thanks
I get what you mean about gearing your life towards having a family (typing from a 3 bed semi with a lovely garden - what a fucking waste). When I pictured this point in my life, sadness was not the overriding emotion I pictured either. Hope you'll keep us updated - By the time you're starting I'll be able to go back to the gp and request referral to endocrinology/gynae/fertility and our 'journey' (boak - hate that phrase but couldn't think how else to phrase it) will be starting.

catherine1988 · 22/04/2018 12:49

@wonkeydonkey89 also typing from my 3 bed with lovely garden. You are so right, I just didn't expect to be so sad when I have so many other things to be grateful for. It is my 30th soon and I've spend my late 20s sad about not getting pregnant. Now I'm sad and going to spend my early 30s trying to bodge together some kind of family. Do you know what, I'm still hopeful that I'll get a little suprise baby before IVF starts. Positive about the IVF referral, wishing time away. Hopeful you will get there quick

catherine1988 · 22/04/2018 12:59

@wonkeydonkey89 the ACS clinic gave us a 50-60% chance of life birth on the first round of isci. This is the fresh transfer. If you are doing the healthy eating/exercise, non smoking, non drinking and under 35. The frozen transfers thereafter are in the 35% each time. You get an amh blood test which indicates how receptive you will be to the IVF medication. They said as young good chance of getting good quality embryos these can be frozen and transferred to private clinics for later use. I also found that helpful for preparation for the 'journey'.

starwishing · 22/04/2018 13:00

Argh hate the fact our post goes random places! We haven't had post all week and today someone from the next road gave us a handful of letters 😬 one of which has called an end to this journey for us. My test results from the hospital have shown I am late stage menopause and therefore all care has been ended and they wish me luck in the future.

Don't really know how to process it. They said when we started that my age was an issue but I was hoping for the best. Guess that explains a lot though.

catherine1988 · 22/04/2018 13:08

@starwishing I'm so sorry, that is awful news to get

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 13:10

Can't imagine how you must feel @starwishing Thanks Hope you're not alone today

Chooklass · 22/04/2018 13:11

I'm sorry @starwishing, that must be so tough to hear. Thanks

starwishing · 22/04/2018 13:16

I'm ok. I'm just getting on with what we were planning on doing and I'm going to look into our options. My OH is dead against adoption or using other eggs and said "something will come up". My friend has just said "it's only late stage menopause and not complete so you still have a chance if you're quick" as she's the eternal optimist 🤦🏼‍♀️

I wish I'd met my OH earlier in life and started when I was younger. Leaving ttc late has bitten me in the bottom

WonkyDonk87 · 22/04/2018 13:33

My DH is an eternal even in the face of evidence optimist too Hmm

Thinking of you today Star

MynameisJune · 22/04/2018 13:39

@star I’m so sorry, that must have been devastating to read. Take some time to process it and then try to plan.

I’ve forgotten if you said how old you are? Is this a surprise?

Paranormalbouquet · 22/04/2018 13:49

Star I’m so sorry, that’s horrible news to receive by post.

JaggyJobby · 22/04/2018 13:49

@starwishing so sorry to hear your news 😔
