When did you get your positive test?

Just been out to coffee with a group of friends and were discussing how quickly they got their positive tests.

three out of five of them didn't get a positive until a week after AF was due! Maybe I'm naive but I was really surprised, I thought you'd usually always get a result a couple of days before your period or the day of your 'missed period'

Probably been done to death, but it's made me curious - when did you get yours? Super early? Super late?

I got mine yesterday, which was 3 days after AF was due (although I think I ovulated early, so maybe more like 5 days) I had to wait until the weekend to take my test, otherwise I would have tested Thursday!

When you get your BFP depends on when you actually implant. This can happen as late as 12dpo. If AF is usually due at 14dpo (assuming 28 day cycle) then even a sensitive test won't pick up such small amounts of HCG.

I've always gotten mine 2 days before AF due. My last childs pregnancy test was very positive immediately. This time I got a very faint line, barely even there.

Every pregnancy is different I suppose. Most people should get a positive when af is due. Perhaps your friends just didn't test until a week after they were due?

Super late with my first and third (over a week), bang on the day my period was due with my second

Usually a day or so before my period is due.

Except the last one which was unexpected so a little after AF was due to arrive.

Got both of mine 9dpo which was 5 days before AF was due x

@poptart4 one of them didn't test til the late, the others got negatives every day until much later! I just thought that must be really unusual as I'd not heard of it before.

@ubercornsdiscoball that's really interesting, so it wasnt the same every time for you...I guess the amount of hormone released at any given time in any individual pregnancy is different

I tested on Thursday and got nothing then tested Sunday and got a very faint line on the frer... I’m not even sure my period is due so it’s veru early on but it happens :) xx

6 days before af due - 8 dpo I think x

My first was a girl and second was a boy. I’m currently 15 weeks with my third so interested to see if it is another girl - whether my hormone levels are different with the different sexes!

About 12dpo! So a few days before period due.

Not until I was 5 weeks pregnant last time. And even then the lines weren’t very dark at all
