When do I actually ovulate?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been TTC again for 8 months - my last pregnacy ended in an ectopic 16 months ago and I lost a tube so I know TTC will be more difficult this time around.

My question is when do I actually ovulate once I have a positive test? We usually dtd the week leading up to a positive opk and then for 2-3 days once I get a positive. We then run out of steam and then dtd intermittently through the rest of the month.

My question is could I be ovulating a lot later and missing my window? Like say 4-5 days later?

Hi OP, sorry about your ectopic.

I've been following the SMEP this month as it seems pretty common sense - she advises every other day til you get a positive OPK, then three consecutive days, then miss one day to replenish stocks and go again the next day in case you do ovulate a bit later. So similar to what you've been doing but with an extra day or two in case you do ovulate that little bit later.

I don't think it's possible to know when you actually ovulate (I could be wrong) unless you're really in tune with symptoms. I've never noticed ewcm until this month when I've been tracking more closely with OPKs, but I literally had it for a few hours in a morning on the third of the three consecutive days. Hoping I managed to catch it but I just don't know!
