Came off the pill in August of last year as we're planning on starting to try at some point after our wedding this summer. Using condoms, as far as I'm aware no screw ups in their use. It would be a bit inconvenient in terms of timing if we got a BFP but not a disaster.

Since coming off the pill my cycles have been as shown in the picture. As of today I'm on a 50 day cycle. Just taken a test as if convinced myself I was pregnant - BFN Confused

Cycles were regular pre pill although I've been on some form of hormonal contraception for 10 years. I'm 28, about a stone overweight but no other PCOS symptoms, no other health issues bar a dodgy smear last summer meaning I needed a laser treatment on my cervix.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?! Beginning to get a bit worried and wondering when it's time to visit the doctor, but concerned that as we're not actively TTC they'll wave us off.

Im in exactly the same boat as you! Came off the pill almost a year ago and my periods have ranged from 35 to 88 days....and only had 5 in a year. We are TTC so I'm going to the doctors in a couple of weeks to see if they can figure things out. Every other cycle I've had has been double the length so I'm starting to think I might have at least 1 very dodgy ovary! Seriously considering paying for a pelvic ultrasound to see if I can get some answers. What pill were you on?

It’s crap isn’t it spades? I was on microgynon. Have been trying not to panic myself on the basis that some websites say it can take up to a year for things to go back to normal. I spend most of the time shuttling between thinking I’m pregnant and worrying I can’t concieve. Planning on tracking my ovulation in the next cycle but frankly I’m not optimistic with a 50 day cycle. Have you been tracking ovulation?

I tried to track it but it's just not feasible to pee on sticks multiple times a day for 70 days in a row 😂

Yeah apparently it can take a year, but I'm 11 months in and it's not showing any signs of regulating yet...so annoying and frustrating. I just hope the doctor takes me seriously!
