What’s the likelihood that I am pregnant?

Hey all,

So here’s the thing. My partner and I had intercourse on the 9th of April, the first time we had it that night we used a condom when he finished, we then had intercourse again around 10 minutes later, used a condom but he didn’t finish, however - he pre cums a lot! I’ve read a lot saying if a guy doesn’t urinate in between it can lead to pregnancy!

It’s been 4 days now, I keep getting shooting like pains in my lower stomach! Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Smile !

When was the 9th in relation to your last period? Women are really only able to conceive for about 1 week per cycle.

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 19:41

@ToastyFingets My last period started on the 29th of March, I am. 26 day cycle!

Even if you are going to be pregnant you absolutely wouldn't have any symptoms whatsoever right now, 4 days' post-sex.

AssassinatedBeauty · 13/04/2018 19:44

Shooting pains in your stomach are not going to be caused by a pregnancy at 4 days after unprotected sex.

Also, you say he used a condom both times?

CrispyCrackers · 13/04/2018 19:45

Do you want to get pregnant? If not then best not take chances.

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 19:47

No he didn’t use a condom the second time..I have read some people getting pains a few days after intercourse and then finding out it was implantation, that’s the reasoning behind the question!

By my calculations you could be pregnant, but if he didn't ejaculate properly then it's much less likely. You wouldn't be able to find out for another 1-2 weeks yet though. Hope you get the result you want!

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 19:54

Fingers crossed ☺️

I reckon the pains are more likely to be ovulation pains if you were at CD 10 on the 9th.

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 20:02

I was ovulating on the 8th!

Well, the egg lasts for a max 24 hours and sperm can't impregnate until it's been inside you for 10 hours, apparently (capacitation). So if you ovulated on 8th, it's quite unlikely the timing is right.

And implantation is from 6-12 DPO, so you're too early for that too.

Karigan1 · 13/04/2018 20:06

Are you temping or did you take an opk to know that?

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 20:06

Opk

I guess it may just be wishful thinking

Are you planning on getting pregnant? If so, why the condom?

Lovelijubbli · 13/04/2018 20:33

My partner and I are planning on Ttc next month! We were waiting until then as we move into our own place next month! Would’ve been a nice unplanned surprise! After a mc last year it’s been all I’ve thought about!

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood, but if he wore a condom the first time and didn’t ejaculate the second time, then it’s very highly unlikely you’re pregnant. Pre-cum can cause pregnancy but very very rarely. Also I’m fairly sure that the thing about men not urinating in between can get you pregnant isn’t actually a thing. It’s about as true as not getting pregnant if you stand on your head after sex lol
