Thanks @strawberrye @cakelaur @babynameedie just confused as my last cycles were pretty bang on temperature wise. I’m really starting to wonder if I should ditch all this monitoring and try and just go with nature and regular BDing and see if it helps me relax a bit more, but I’m a control freak and the not knowing might make me more tense. Pfft this is exhausting.
@pumpkinpatch000 glad to hear from you. Hope you are doing well. Fingers crossed for TWW.
@cakelaur so exciting!!! He will be a wonderful distraction!
@timewaitsfornowoman I’m on the same frustration boat but with a slightly different reason...how do people relax?!! I said to DH I would love to go back to this time last year when we were only starting to think about TTC and my mind was focused on our house and not consumed by baby making!
Good signs with the tingly boobs @babynameedie 🤞

Boboelephant · 13/04/2018 10:24

Hi @Daffodils86, we're almost twins, I'm 6dpo today. I have a few quietly positive signs too but scared to get hopes up. What are yours?
Haha @hayleyfx I hope it's a good sign for you!
@Claire138 I'm sorry you're feeling low. This ttc business can really mess with our heads. Especially when our bodies don't seem to do what they are supposed to!! I hope you get confirmation of ovulation soon!
Yay for puppy day @Cakelaur!!!
@PumpkinPatch000 welcome back! Glad all was ok. Where are you in tww?
@TimeWaitsForNoWoman so sorry for the bfn.

I got ridiculously excited this morning as I just started charting and using ff this month and today it said my chart was on the up trend which is shown in 90% of pregnancies. Pretty sure it's only because I've had 6 temps above cover line now which is needed to confirm you actually ovulated and could therefore get pregnant but I read it as ooh 90% of pregnancies have charts like mine!! stupid hopeful brain 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

@Cakelaur @BabynameEdie haha when you’re TTC it’s like having to learn a new language! 🤣
@Boboelephant thank you!! But omg I just did an OPK and it’s positive 🤦‍♀️ So I totally misjudged when ovulation would be! I think the chemical last month threw it off a bit. We haven’t dtd in like 3 days, do I still have a chance? I think I’ll actually tell SO to come home during his lunch hour today🤣 otherwise we’ll totally miss it!

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 13/04/2018 10:37

@Claire138 I so get you. I'm on holiday at the moment so I think going back to work will help distract me! There must be something hormonal at work at the moment for me - I had my D&C five weeks ago today and am now like a woman possessed. Can't believe I was so chilled about it before, seems like another life. But I'm going to karaoke tonight so hopefully that will distract me good and proper! Hope you've got some nice weekend plans to do the same.

Boboelephant · 13/04/2018 10:40

@hayleyfx oh bummer. So many of us have ovulated later than we thought this month! But no you're definitely not out! After a positive opk you should ovulate 12-48 hours later. So bd today, tomorrow and Sunday and you'll have bases covered!

Boboelephant · 13/04/2018 10:43

I agree @Claire138 and @TimeWaitsForNoWoman. When I had DS I was so relaxed. Had never heard of opks and bbt and EWCM! Now I'm a living breathing ttc obsessed encyclopaedia

KnitKitty · 13/04/2018 10:48

Hi ladies, I'm new to this thread.

Had surgical management for MMC on 27th March and currently still getting very positive pregnancy tests from the left-over hormones.

Does this mean it'll be a while until my first AF? I think my cycles are usually about 30-32 days, although I was on the pill for many years and got pregnant on my second cycle earlier this year before I'd figured out my cycles.

Avoiding sex until I get a BFN because I don't want to be confused if I happen to get pregnant again straight away (although I'm not particularly going to be trying this month).

It's so great to hear about the BFPs! Congrats to all those who've had them, it's so encouraging!

I'm a bit iffy about how I'll feel getting back on to the TTC horse, and really worried about the emotions of getting a BFP again (hopefully), I already struggled quite a lot with the first one from the beginning because I had bleeding on and off even before I tested and never felt that excitement you're supposed to feel; and I don't want to be a nervous wreck again with the next one. I'm hoping since I've already been through the worst I might feel a bit more blasé about the next one, but I don't want to avoid bonding with a new baby early on.

Anyone who's been through this roller-coaster before got any advice?

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 13/04/2018 10:54

Hi @KnitKitty, I'm so sorry you find yourself here. It's bloody awful but you will get through it.

I'm a couple of weeks further on in the process than you - my D&C was five weeks ago. I haven't got a period yet but I was told this can happen any time between four and six weeks. I got a positive OPK about three weeks after the surgery, so I'm expecting my period any moment. I think a major piece of advice would be that bodies react in different ways to miscarriage so don't be alarmed if your cycles/hormones are a bit haywire for a while. It may take a while to get a negative HPT but that's completely normal. Sending you lots of positive thoughts Thanks

Claire138 · 13/04/2018 11:14

Thanks @boboelephant I text my acupuncturist and asked her if acupuncture can delay ovulation (she will be noting me as a crazy in her diary) and she said that the first month can give the hormones a bit of a kick but usually settles down. So I hope it’s just a blip and I will be ovulating big juicy eggs next month 🤞 it’s looking positive for you! Really hope this is your month so you can rest from the TTC crazy train!
@timewaitsfornowomen karaoke sounds like a great distraction!! Got to think, back in the day there were no opk tests or thermal charts (maybe there was) and women got pregnant! We can do the chill 🧘‍♀️ Namaste 🙏 😂
@hayleyfx What a pain in the ass. At least you have caught it with the opk and you can get busy!! I’m going to continue testing...just in case!
@knitkitty sorry for your loss. I had an ERPC and had a 34 day cycle that month (4 days later than my normal) recovery time didn’t take too long but mentally I needed a bit more time, so I chose to wait till my first AF until I started TTC again. Hope you’re feeling ok ❤️

hayleyfx · 13/04/2018 12:14

@Boboelephant thank you! I totally freaked out there lol! It’s so annoying knowing I have to restart the TWW too haha 🤦‍♀️
@Claire138 yeah I’m glad I kept testing!! SO can’t get away from work during the day at all so can’t BD until he gets home at 9! But hopefully I’ll still be in with a chance. I went into such a panic there wow 🤣
@KnitKitty welcome, so sorry you find yourself here and so sorry for your loss. I got my first af about 4 weeks after the MC. I decided to start trying again right away but yeah it is hard. Every month I’m desperate for that BFP but also at the same time I’m so scared of becoming pregnant again incase I MC. I don’t think that fear will ever go away for me but I just have to stay as positive as possible. Good luck for when you decide to start TTC again and hugs to you! Flowers

Primrose16 · 13/04/2018 12:23

First day back to work after my 3 weeks sick! Pregnant colleague. She is a friend so I’m pleased for her but also feeling like I want to hide

DaisyMay25 · 13/04/2018 12:26

I might poas later on opk even though I'm CD 9 but it's poas Friday! And I've got 50 of them...
My 50 ic pregnancy tests arrived this morning, I have issues!
When are you testing @Boboelephant

strawberrye · 13/04/2018 12:28

@Primrose16 sorry to hear that, that sounds really tough. Hugs Flowers

@KnitKitty welcome and sorry that you find yourself here. I have no real words of advice as my miscarriage didn't need surgery, but just wanted to say sorry for your loss. Cycles can be disrupted for up to 6 months after miscarriage x

mrsd1103 · 13/04/2018 12:51

Hello, can I join you all?
I had a mc at 6 weeks at the end of March. Yesterday a colleague announced she is pg and a week ahead of where I should be which set off all sorts of feels just as I was starting to feel a bit better

Cakelaur · 13/04/2018 12:54

hayleyfx · 13/04/2018 13:45

@mrsd1103 so sorry for your loss. You’re definitely in the right place here! I know how you feel, it’s so tough 🙁 sending you hugs 💕

Primrose16 · 13/04/2018 14:06

I have had enough I want to sit in a bubble and rock

PassTheAfterEights · 13/04/2018 14:29

Happy puppy day @cakelaur!

@strawberrye ooh exciting times, fx for a speedy couple of days for you xx 10dpo but POAS Friday neither my friend, BFN first thing and wasted a FRER on the same outcome early afternoon bit fed up.

@knitkitty so sorry to see you here & @Primrose16 room for two? Flowers

peachesarenom · 13/04/2018 16:10

Hi everyone, just wanted to check, did I tell you this cycle I have been taking B12 since OV as I'm a vegetarian (not deficient though) because apparently it helps with implantation!

ek78 · 13/04/2018 17:00

Thanks for the new thread @bobothelepephant!
I've been away for work and not on the thread over the last few days so massive congrats to all with BFPs! Fab news!
@claire138 You just made me LOL with your seduction technique...
@laney79 I'm ok-ish, thanks.x Still bleeding quite heavily but I think I'm over the worst. It was quite good to be away and have to get on with work for a few days. I just did the minimal amount possible and whenever possible went back to my hotel. Home now and just want to be back to normal physically. I'm so sorry to hear that you are still waiting for everything to properly start.

strawberrye · 13/04/2018 17:53

Hello @mrsd1103 welcome and sorry to hear about your loss. Was it your first pregnancy or do you have other DC? Take care of yourself, it's really tough hearing about others pregnancies, especially those so close to those we've lost x

Melamine · 13/04/2018 17:57

Hey dudes. Just marking my place as coming to the end of my miscarriage - first pregnancy, MMC at 11 weeks. Just took some misopostol today after trying the natural thing for 2 weeks & finding all the lining intact today but light at the end of the tunnel. Feeling fairly fine emotionally, since I started miscarrying I’ve been quite literally inundated with stories of women of all ages who went through the same & now have children. Looking forward to getting back into the TTC game though I’m sure I won’t say that in a few months 😉 times not on my side so I won’t be hanging about!

Boboelephant · 13/04/2018 18:18

@KnitKitty welcome and sorry for your loss. When I had my ERPC, I found that I got the negative hpt, then ovulated about 4 days later and then af 2 weeks after that. Cycles can be messed up after MC but I'd say once you ovulate you can prob still expect af 2 weeks after that. It's such a horrible emotional thing to go through so be kind to yourself and only try when you feel ready to do so. I think that the fact that you are worried about bonding with your baby means that you will. Anxiety is normal for what we've been through but don't confuse that with disinterest. I'm sure once you know that you are pregnant and baby is safe you will be a wonderful mumma to your baby.
@Claire138 thankyou hun. I hope it is too!!! And I hope you are producing those big juicy eggs!!
@hayleyfx good luck for your hubby jumping!
@Primrose16 oh sorry hun. That sounds tough. Sending hugs too. Put your feet up tonight and be kind to yourself.
@DaisyMay25 did you pee on anything? I'm going to try and hold out until next Thursday. I'll be 12dpo. 🤞🤞
@mrsd1103 welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss.
@PassTheAfterEights sorry hun. Evil bfn's!!
@ek78 I'm so sorry you are going through this still but I am keeping everything crossed that this is the end of it now and things start looking up.
@Melamine so sorry for your loss and welcome. It is truly shit but this thread is great and very supportive (Although we all hope we won't be on it for much longer too!)

Marking my spot - happy to be in good company but sad to be here ☹️

I had an early scan last week at what should have been 7 + 4 weeks...empty sac measuring 5 weeks and “sub optimal” hcg level rise after blood tests. I had my BFP on 15th March so no way dates could be THAT wrong unfortunately.

So. MMC then. I have a (pointless) follow up scan on Tuesday then will be scheduled for a D&C.

Sigh. Just hoping it won’t take long to get back to “normal”. Until then, just trying to hide how sad I am from my DCs (8 and 5)...

Hugs to all

Xxx
