So I'm not stupid, I know every single cycle is different, every pregnancy is different, every symptom is just a symptom and they don't really mean anything until AF is missed and a bfp is there!
BUT!
You still just get caught up in the frustration of ttc and not understanding why new symptoms are occurring and those bfn are still coming, right?
So here is my situation - My DD is now 16months old, it took a whole 11.5months for me to even get my period back and we've been trying the whole time and since. With her I had some wierd ticking like feeling in my uterus and then odd stabbing pains in my cervix (much like ligament pain during pregnancy) about 1 week after ov/ 1 week before af. then had a super strong positive 3 days before AF.

second pregnancy ended in a mc but I had absolutely no symptoms what so ever - maybe a little worse insomnia but I couldn't tell if that was the pregnancy because I struggle with sleep anyway.

So this month, I was totally convinced that I wasn't pregnant. I mean sure, we DTD around ovulation, but not a whole lot and we missed ov by about 2 days and just sort of didn't try this month. So when I got the same ticking feeling at the same time as with my first my head went oh... maybe we caught it.... and then I got the cervix pains, and the odd bit of heartburn and some (TMI thick cm, but haven't had cm since baby was born) so I thought 8dpo let's take a test, BFN.
Too early eh not to worry. 12dpo (3days till af) BFN. lower back ache and lots of peeing in the past 3 days (now 2 days to af 13dpo) and no feeling of the usual heavy bloated cramping that I always get the few days before AF.

I know the only thing to do is wait, but any positive experiences that might explain the frustrating same symptoms of my 1st pregnancy and BFN and give me a bit of hope? :)

Unfortunately you already answered your own question! Every cycle is different. Every pregnancy is different. I’ve been pregnant twice. My main symptom in both was sore boobs. I’d never had them before then and never had them after. Until I started ttc. I got sore boobs the first month and I thought I had to be pregnant as it was the same symptom I’d had before. But nope. It’s been almost 19 months for me and most months I’ve had sore boobs. Other months I haven’t. Not been pregnant at all.

I know that’s not what you want to hear but honestly, every symptom experienced in the tww, whether it’s normal for you, completely new or even the same as in previous pregnancies, it’s all purely coincidental. That’s why people say it’s best to wait until a missed period because there is literally nothing you can find out from symptom spotting and all you end up doing is driving yourself mad. Trust me, I’ve been there! It’s not to say you won’t be pregnant, just that you symptoms aren’t related yet.

I’m sorry to hear about your mc and hope you get your bfp soon :)

I keep telling myself the exact same thing! It's like half by brain is stupid ttc brain that's saying " but what does this mean what does that mean" and the other half is saying " that means you've just moved you're left arm and hit the wall. dummy"

I was completely fine with not being preg this month until those symptoms hit and now it's all I can think about arrghhh
luckily no more tests in the house so i've got no choice but to wait ;)
but thanks for replying anyway :)

I’m on month 18 right now with my period due on Monday and my cm is much more watery than normal and yesterday I found myself thinking “could this be a good sign??” I know perfectly well it means nothing but I think when you’re ttc, no matter how long you’ve been doing it for and no matter how rational you try to be, you’ll always get that little voice in the back of your head telling you your symptoms are different and could it be a sign. It’s a nightmare! I totally understand the frustration. My body still does weird stuff even now

Gah, how horrible that it's so long for you!
Fingers crossed though.
How I wish we had a time machine, just to skip the tww!
