How to increase cervical mucus

Going into cycle 3 feeling really down. I naively thought this would be our month but it hasn't happened so onto cycle 3 we go. I don't seem to have any EWCM around ov which I think isn't helping. This month I took epo up until ov but that didn't make any change. Does anyone no of anything else that helps increase cm.

Grape fruit juice and evening primrose oil.
You’ll have ridiculous amounts.

CrumbliestFlakiest · 11/04/2018 08:23

I was going to suggest evening primrose oil as well. If you don't produce much, there's a fertility aid called Pre Seed. It's available on amazon and could help

Bubblegum89 · 11/04/2018 09:45

Evening primrose is good. I didn’t have ewcm for the first 16 months of ttc but the last two months, I have had it. Last month I had loads. I’ve never taken anything to increase it, it could be just a case of waiting a while to see if it comes back. Watery clear cm is fertile as well, not just ewcm

I didn’t have much, grapefruit juice didn’t make any difference
I used Tesco’s own version of pre-seed

FutureFairyCrayon · 11/04/2018 10:15

I rarely have any ewcm at ovulation, it hasn't stopped me conceiving four times though. I know it feels like forever when you're waiting for a positive result, but three cycles really isn't very long at all.

MrsWooster · 11/04/2018 10:18

Anecdotally, decongestant cough medicine is supposed to help. Also rec pre seed.

pumpkinpie01 · 11/04/2018 10:18

Some cough medicines do, really cant remember which though but Im sure Google will help you, definitely works x

Sharnie44 · 11/04/2018 12:14

I took evening primrose oil this month but it didn't seem to make much difference before ovulation but I had more after. I was told to only take it between period and ovulation because it can cause uterine contractions is that right.
I used conceive plus fertility lubricant aswell I think I've just got to be patient and not expect to much to soon as I no 3 cycles is nothing compared to others.

Unless you've got specific reasons to be concerned about your fertility, I would try to relax at this point (easier said than done I know). The months when I conceived were always the months when I was distracted by other things (moving house, partner's father dying, having a big birthday), and not paying as much attention!

Prior to having my DD I spent three fruitless years ttc, doing everything 'right', and it was soul destroying, but I was putting myself under ridiculous amounts of pressure. When I did finally conceive I was overweight, very old, and not really trying, it's odd how things work out. Good luck!

LostMyBaubles · 11/04/2018 12:32

Benelin cough medicine
Worked for me!

Have a quick Google to see which one yo get
Im currently 19weeks preg (well 19 tomorrow lol)
Good luck

I had shed loads of EWCM for the first time ever the month I had a glass of grapefruit juice every day between period and ovulation. Didn't get knocked up but going to try it again this month after a month off of tracking/obsessing about things (that also didn't get me pregnant ha).

Good luck - remember 80% of couples will conceive within 6 months so try not to stress too much now, you've only done 2 cycles so it's early days (fully appreciate that it doesn't feel that way though, time slows down when TTC - be kind with yourself).

FluffyBunnyTails · 11/04/2018 13:30

I tried grapefruit juice this month. A glass everyday from period finishing until ovulation and hubby took vitamins. He was away on OV day so we made sure to DTD at the last possible time which was 2/3 days before.
I just got a BFP. CM didn't increase loads but I noticed there was more.
No idea if that did the trick but my thinking was it may help the swimmers last longer :-)

Good luck!
