Hello Lovely ladies

Just after a bit of advice. I came off Microgynon in Dec 17 after 15 years. My cycle hasn't settled down yet, I've had a 32, 53 and 24 day cycle but I seem to have cramping all over the place, like weeks before AF is due. In my 53 day cycle it four weeks before constantly. The aches aren't painful just dull but constant.

I thought during my 53 day cycle I might be PG but got a BFN.

Just wondering if cramping like this is normal after coming off pill and how long it took your cycle to settle into place?

I've also been using OPKs and charting but it's stressed me out so I'm moving away from it and trying to concentrate on life but before I do just wanted to know if this cramping for weeks on end is normal!

Thanks in advance xx

That all sounds totally normal to me to be honest

I came off contraception last year in August, started TTC in September. Since I've come off contraception my cycles are ridiculous - varies from 45 days to 14 days... and I cramp ALL THE TIME!

I was convinced I was pregnant because of the symptoms but honestly I think I was just symptom spotting and hoping I was pregnant. Sounds like our bodies just take a while because of coming off contraception...

Best of luck though, hope you get your BFP xx

Thanks, I think I knew this deep down but wanted to confirm it was normal. I'm glad others have irregular cycle lengths.

I agree, you just symptom spot in hope but like people say it's better to not think about it. The only symptom I have had is in the first month we started I had some pink discharge but I think again this is just another 'coming off pill' symptom. It doesn't help that a few of my friends have fallen PG in the first month but as said earlier I think I'm just going to get on with enjoying life and trying not to think about things and let nature take its course. Its not enough time to worry yet.

Wishing you best of luck too and thanks. Xx
