Over exercising causing no periods?

Has anyone else suffered with lack of periods due to over exercising? I came off the pill two years ago and haven't had a period since. They put me on Provera for 10 days, but nothing happened. I am a keen runner so didn't know if that was effecting it? I am in the perfect BMI range, but didn't know if anyone had a similar problem and how you got your periods back?

I came off the pill in December 2017 (not that long) and my periods are all over the place. 6 weeks apart.

I'm a keen runner and exercise every day pretty much doing long runs or high intensity training. I'm not underweight and my bmi is normal but I do wonder whether I'm putting too much strain on my body.

I saw my gp in Feb and he asked me about running etc and said cut back a bit. X

In the last couple of years on this board (been ttc two years), I've seen a couple, maybe three or four women, for whom this was a problem. It's totally individual. You might try easing off with the training and see if it helps? Experiment a bit...

Do you know your body fat percentage? Your bmi could be OK but body fat quite low? Which can cause lack of periods.

I don't know my body fat percentage. Is there an easy way to find this out?

Boots sometimes have scales that will tell you :)
