Advice please

Hi all,

I’m very confused and slightly concerned so any help and advice would be greatly received :) I came off my BCP mid feb, had a normal period two weeks after stopping the pill. I calculated that my period would be due today but it arrived yesterday after having a fair few pregnancy symptoms the last few weeks. I bled quite heavily (it was dripping out of me for a few seconds, sorry TMI) so I just thought no more about it and assumed AF was here early. I went to change my tampon last night and these was a thin, almost slice of skin on it and more coming down, almost like scar tissue crossed with chicken skin, fleshy and in some places blood coloured. The tissue stopped last night and my period is very light today (as it was yesterday, very unusual for me). I’ve also got stomach cramps going on but nothing major, just more uncomfortable. Any ideas? I’m hoping it’s implantation bleeding and maybe a bit of shedding the old lining?

Any help much appreciated!

Oh and I did a clear blue 6 day early test on Wednesday with FMU and it was negative, maybe I ovulated later than I thought?

It sounds like old lining shedding. I had this last month actually. If you are shedding actual tissue then it’s unlikely you’re pregnant as the lining of your womb won’t shed if you’ve conceived as it needs to stay thick. Since you came off the pill not long ago, that all sounds fairly standard to me to be honest, your body has to readjust and it can take a while.

Thanks Bubblegum, I was panicking a lot! My period was only very light and lasted three days, did you have this too?

Mine was medium flow but only lasted 2 days

Can i butt in and ask is it normal to get your AF 2 weeks after coming off the pill. I took my last pill on 27th March and haven’t had a period yet and don’t know when to expect it
