getting so fed up now all i'm getting on clearblue is high fertility no peak when normally i would of had a positive ovulation test yesterday evening. is it possible the clearblue ones can just miss the surge as you have to take them in the morning only?

I had 7 days of ‘high fertility’ on my last cycle with a peak on day 16 (I’d usually have 5 and get a peak around day 14) and got pregnant that cycle. I was dubious about the FMU but it was spot on as the morning I got my peak I then had ovulation cramps in the evening. It is frustrating waiting for that static smiley I know but keep going!

igglewhat · 07/04/2018 11:03

Are you doing the Clearblue study? I did it and fell pregnant but went on to have a chemical miscarriage.

lrwe · 07/04/2018 13:03

I was super frustrated as well, I double checked with an IC and that was positive so I took the clear blue after, lo and behold static smiley. But I took it in the afternoon today as well as this morning so who knows!

I came on to post about this exact same thing! Last time I used clearblue I had 2 days of high fertility followed by peak. So far I am on day 4 of high and am wondering if I'm going to get peak. I can see from above comments though that it is still possible. I'm particularly anxious this month because it's our first go of ttc after I miscarried in January. Hoping my cycle is just a bit out of sorts as a result and I'll still peak but it's so frustrating and worrying at the same time, plus I'm over 40 so the clock is ticking!
How many days of high have you had OP? It does say in the instructions some months you might not see peak at all but I don't know if that means because you didn't ovulate or because the test just missed it!

i am doing the clearblue study (also temping as i can't help it) i had a temp rise this morning so not sure will keep going

First time using them this month and had 8 days of flashing smiley faces before static yesterday morning. I'd nearly given up hope and about to throw the bloody thing in the bin. Not sure how many days you have been testing OP but don't give up hope!

Flatwhite32 · 07/04/2018 15:12

@winterwarmers, I'm currently 25+5, and on the cycle I got my BFP, I got 8 days of flashing smilies! The day I got the static though was interesting, as I had a flashing smiley in the morning, but by evening I had a static one.

Flatwhite32 · 07/04/2018 15:51

That should say 24+5, not 25+5!

MaryT2018 · 07/04/2018 19:38

Good to hear that people get as many as 8 days high before peak. I might need to buy a other packet at this rate.

winterwarmers · 08/04/2018 06:27

wasn't an ovulation rise yesterday as my temp dropped this morning. i have a 29 days cycle normally and i am now on cd 20 so at least i know my period is going to be late.

another high reading this morning getting a bit fed up now

I got 9 days of flashing smiles this month - yesterday finally got a static (and is supported by other internet cheapies). This is on CD 20, when previously I have had static by CD 16. Glad I kept going as I was worried I hadn't ovulated this month.

winterwarmers · 08/04/2018 14:43

@Bumbers thank you good luck hope you get a bfp

MaryT2018 · 08/04/2018 23:31

@winterwarmers hope you get peak tomorrow!

Bumbers · 09/04/2018 11:02

Thank you @winterwarmers. Fingers crossed for a peak (followed by a bfp!)

winterwarmers · 09/04/2018 11:09

no peak but massive temp rise so must have missed the surge as your only allowed to do fmu

I had 9 days of flashing smilies last month before I gave up for that cycle. The instructions do say you can test more than once a day after you see the flashing smiley but I still didn't get a solid smiley.

This month I've had 7 days of flashing smilies but had EWCM a few days ago so I think it's just missed it. Also, looking at the ejected tests, I think I probably did ovulate when I thought I did but because its really easy to flood the tests with first thing in the morning race horse piss, its can misread the tests.

winterwarmers · 09/04/2018 12:39

i'm on the clearblue study though so not sure i will do my last test tomorrow for the month and just keep dtd eod

@thecapitalsunited i kept some of the tests and the line on them got really dark so think i ovulated last night / this morning
