Ttc in April - ovulation sticks how do they work?

I’m late for af... have a bfn this morning and yesterday used one of those ovulation sticks, bought some from Poundland in error.. thinking they were hpt
I have no idea of when I will ovulate as came off the pill over a month ago and had 3 day withdrawal bleed a month ago and nothing since... have been feeling offish but could be coincidence... will attach a pic of the ovulation stick I done

There is a really faint line???

With ovulation sticks the second line should be as dark or darker than the test line if ovulation is imminent (in my limited experience).

I'm not sure that they can reliable be used as an indicator of pregnancy.

Most women always have some LH in their system so will always see a second line. They aren't totally reliable for pregnancy but some say they pick up hcg, however there needs to be a lot of it to pick it up so I would have assumed the previous hpt would have been positive. Also, some women get a positive opk just before their period is due. So ultimately, this doesn't mean anything I'm afraid.

When I do get a positive on the Opk how long will I ovulate for?

You should ovulate around 12-36 hours after a positive opk :)
