Hi all

First time poster. And honestly have no idea about any of this- it all blows my mind a little. This is a bit of a wake up that I really need to understand my body a lot better!

Background to start- my “periods” are usually 10-14 days long- 1 week-ish of light bleeding, then a day of agonizing pain and heavy flow, then few more days where it all dies down slowly. I then have about 2 weeks until it all starts again.

Right so- on holiday between March 13th- 27th. We had what I will call “some opportunities to conceive” during that time. The start of my period was due around 24/25th ish. It’s not very regular so hard to say for certain. But this month it didn’t come until the 30th. And, when it did, it only lasted 4 days and was very light.

I am exceptionally tired and my boobs are a little sore. However, I took a pregnancy test yesterday (5th April) and it came up as negative. So I suppose my question is- am I testing too early? I tried to fathom out how it all works with dates etc but it sort of blew my mind!

Thanks In Advance for any help you can offer

No idea on testing but I’m assuming you’ve been checked for endometriosis?

Ah I see. The way you’re describing your periods sounds a lot like endometriosis. Hopefully you don’t have it though :)

My older sister has it- not sure if it can be genetic?
