Some background. I’m 36 with a 3 year old dd.
We had some problems conceiving her - fell pregnant on first cycle but had two early mcs before my successful pregnancy (also first cycle).
When dd was 2 we decided to ttc again and once again, it happened on first cycle but once again I had an early mc.
Took a break for a few months then tried again on and off (on more than off) for about a year with no luck. Used a cycle tracker and opk sticks but nothing.
I felt like I was putting my life on hold a bit and decided to take control and went back on the pill 2 months ago. Plus, dd has turned into a bit of a horror “threenager” and I was (still am) convinced that I might be committed if I had to deal with a baby on top of her!
I’ve started getting in shape again, re started an old hobby and bought myself a horse - something I’d given up when dd was young. It feels silly now to try again at this point to ttc and I was thinking of waiting a year or two till dd starts school and enjoying some me time but because of my previous issues and the fact that after a year of trying nothing had happened if that might then be leaving it too late and I might end up regretting it.
I know there is no right answer but I’d love some mumsnet common sense advice!!
