ADVICE needed - TTC but on meds

My fiancé and I have recently agreed to try for a baby but I’m on quite a lot of medication (lithium, haloperidol, sertraline and levothyroxine). I know I’ll have to come off the meds if I get pregnant but my dilemma is do I come off it all when I’m just TTC. It could take months to conceive and it’s risky for me to be off my meds for any longer than I have to be. What should I do?

You need to discuss with your doctor. I have no idea about the others but setraline you won't have to come off of x

@Siouxrb I am currently on levothyroxine as well and have been advised by my doctor that it is safe to take when TTC/pregnant...not sure about the others, sorry!

You don't have to stop sertraline when pregnant. I'm currently 11 weeks and take 50mg a day

Thanks everyone. I’ve got a doctors appointment on Friday so I’ll see what they say. From googling it looks like lithium and haloperidol might be more of a problem

Good luck, OP. I'm sure your GP will be able to help you find something that works for you without stopping all your meds completely.
