Hello!!
I’m pretty new to all this so bare with me! This month if our first month trying, and my partner is a lot more chilled than me, but I’m just trying to resist doing a test every day. My period is due 8/4 so I have six days to go, I’ve felt like I’ve had a few symptoms but my partner thinks it’s all in my head... I’ve started this to try and keep me sane with I wait! Surely others in same first time boat??

Hi Emily and welcome ☺️ I'm currently TTC baby number one with my husband, but it's cycle 3 for us (been actively trying since Christmas/Jan). I know how you feel, the first couple of cycles I drove myself a little crazy with symptom spotting!

Good luck to you - fingers crossed for a BFP this month x

I am terrible! Test too early and symptom spot. DH is much more chilled out. I think it's just in our nature probably as its happening to our bodies!

Exactly!! Defo down to the fact it’s our bodies! I’m going to try and resist testing tomorrow morning.. fingers crossed for you both!

As someone who has been ttc for a long time, I will tell you now, do not pay any attention to symptoms in your two week wait. They’re purely progesterone related (or in fact, in your head like your partner said). I also personally wouldn’t waste your time testing until after you have a late period. Seeing a negative test is horrible and ttc is bad enough without making things worse for yourself. Oh and don’t buy into fads. There is only one thing that can help you conceive and that is having sex when you’re fertile. Just track your ovulation with opks and have sex in your fertile week, that’s all you can do. Try not to overthink symptoms and don’t be disheartened if it takes longer than you hoped. You only have a 20-25% chance of conceiving each month (if neither of you have any fertility issues) so the odds are really not in your favour. Good luck!
