Anyone go back on pill after MC?

Hey guys,

I’m considerig doing the above for a month to see if it sorts my body out. Having pelvic pain (I’m being investigated for this) but also my periods won’t get going. I have a bit of blood then brown discharge. I could wear the same sanitary towel for the duration and not fill it. Everyday I feel I have PMS symptoms like my body doesn’t know what the fuck to do Confused
Anyone had any experience of this? I’m
Wondering if the pill might “settle” things x

The pill will basically screw things up some more.

Your body needs to adjust to the changes and, sadly, after a miscarriage it can take a little while.

You could try temping/bbt charting to see what's going on?

Hugs x

If you are hoping to TTC again soon I wouldn't. How long is it since your mmc?

Kate8989 · 01/04/2018 16:31

I had it in January but my body is in a right state, my periods are nothing like they were before MC. I feel like I’m on my period everyday. I’ve heard of someone say the pill “reset” their body a bit..... we aren’t TTC at the moment because I don’t feel able to physically/mentally xx

I wouldn't. I think you need to wait it out I'm afraid.

DBoo · 01/04/2018 17:09

I think it's probably just your body getting back to normal. If you are not in a rush to TTC I would let your body get back into its natural cycle.

It can take a while to conceive when you have been on contraception so it could make things harder in the long run.

There's a vitamin you can buy which is supposed to.help regulate cycles. I've not used it but think it might be called Angus cactai or something like that. I've read about it on here before.

😭 the pelvic pain is horrid. I’m having a laparoscopy in a few weeks... I’m hjsg looking for something that may relieve the pain in the meanwhile x

Did you get a negative pregnancy test afterwards?

Kate8989 · 01/04/2018 20:05

Yep x

Hi hun we've spoke before I also had a mc in January and I'm having new symptoms! Wouldn't go on pill as it will mask things and make ttc harder. My pelvis has also been aching and sore quite alot. I've only had one period since miscarriage. I was certain I was pregnant last month but wasn't. Never had ovulation pain/cramps/pelvic pain but that's all I've had since. I also have periody type pains all cycle and bloating and my skin is awful. Handhold just have to wait it out, I would go to doctor if you feel something really isn't right though x

I worry about pcos and endo but then I think I've got pregnant once so know I can just hope one sticks!! Xx

Bless you, it’s nice to know someone is going through the same as me. I’m worried I’ve developed a dependency to painkillers as that’s all I do.... take painkillers!
I’m having a lap in a couple of weeks as body just doesn’t feel right. But my pain has no connection to period... it’s everyday doesn’t get better or worse!!! Even going to the toilet is uncomfortable; I can’t tell you how depressed I am xx

Hmm it sounds like something is going on. Hope you get some answers. Easier said than done but try not to stress as it won't help anything xx

jbee1979 · 01/04/2018 21:35

I did, and I don't regret it. The midwife said a wee boost of hormone would sort out the wobbly pregnancy hormones. It made me feel better and took the TTC pressure off for a month. Sorry for your loss Flowers

Kate8989 · 01/04/2018 22:10

@jbee1979 can I ask why you felt the need to go back on?!? I cannot tell you how out of whack I feel. Everyday feels like period day!!! X
