Hi everyone,

I am currently trying to conceive and am following an app on my phone for ovulation and to track periods etc I have been on the contraceptive implant 3times until last May and the onto the pill for only 3 months. My periods since then have not been completely regular but have generally come within about a week of when they were expected which I have just put down to my body getting back to normal however I am now 12days “late” from my predicted period and have had 2 negative Home test results but still no sign of coming on? I am very confused and a little worried. Would appreciate any help thank you x

Probably just delayed ovulation or an anovulatory cycle. Totally normal from time to time. Quite common too. There are several threads running currently about women freaking out about being late and getting bfn, which is just anxiety about not knowing. Try tracking when you ov using opks, bbt, cervical position and mucus. Time between ov and af is generally always about the same, so if you can figure out when you ov, you can figure out when af is due.

I’m currently 8 days late and now done around 9 tests and all BFN. I just want my period to hurry up and come. We’re not trying and we don’t want to expand our family any further.

Hey just thought I’d update! I had made an appoint for this Monday coming for a blood test as still getting BFN on all tests but no sign of period. Anyway I got my period today, disappointed but at least I know where I stand and can keep trying. Thank you physicskate for your advice!

Mine still awol too!

Tink2007 · 08/04/2018 12:07

How long has yours been, MaGratgarlik1983?

MaGratgarlik1983 · 08/04/2018 12:20

Last one started on March 2nd so I think I probably oved late or not at all but it is worrying. I used to skip cycles but haven't done so since the year before last if not longer! Having DS actually made me regular with a 30 day cycle. Worrying myself now about ectopic pregnancy or early menopause. I'm 35 this year but periods have been getting lighter. Argggghhh!! How about you @tink?

Cas90 · 08/04/2018 12:42

Same sitch. Now 9 days late x

Bubblegum89 · 08/04/2018 12:45

Sounds like it could be an anovulatory cycle. They’re fairly common and most women have them at least once a year. It can delay your period or you can miss your period completely

Tink2007 · 08/04/2018 12:48

Mine is 18 days. I was due my period on 21/03.

I’ve done more tests than I have ever done hahaha. I think I am somewhere in the region of 16 tests now so am fairly certain that being pregnant isn’t an issue.

I have always been every 28 days with the odd 26, 27, 29 or 30 day cycle. Once I was 11 days late but this is a whole new experience! I’m 33 this year 😩

Djd1200 · 08/04/2018 13:15

Mine was 50 days so there is still time 🤣😩 I’m only 29 is it something I should be worrying about 😕

Oh definitely time then! No, I don’t think it’s anhthing to worry about. Just highly frustrating!
