First looked at it and it was negative, then I'm sure my line caught the faintest of blue lines! Help!!!

Pictures are with and without flash

Maybe a hint? So hard to tell with those tests though - can you try tomorrow with a FRER? They're really worth it!

Redrosebelle · 28/03/2018 07:38

Is that a Sainsbury’s test? I had a faint line on a sainsburys test but clear bfp on a frer if you can get one?

mai5x · 28/03/2018 07:40

It's so frustrating as I went out searching last night for a pink dye but it seems my two local shops only had about 5 tests left in the each!

Where can you get a FRER from?x

Yes it's a Sainsbury's one!

Does anyone know what supermarkets sell FRERs? I haven't seen any where I am!

Sainsbury’s sell frers but Boots is a sure fire bet! Do you have a boots nearby?

mai5x · 28/03/2018 07:43

Yes I'll definitely go to boots after work!

Thank you! It's so frustrating as I definitely thought it was a negative until I glimpsed back at it!

None of the supermarkets near us sell FRER (and they're huge supermarkets). It'd really frustrating. When I've not been able to get them I've bought superdrug pink dye which have always given me accurate results.

mai5x · 28/03/2018 07:48

Ah I never thought of Superdrug! I'll see if I can get to one later just in case Boots is closed.

So am I being a maniac or can anyone else see a hint of a line?!

If you have Amazon Prime they also do FRER deliveries...

Yes, obviously a mumsnetter taught me that! Grin

Shedmicehugh1 · 28/03/2018 07:49

I can see a definite line in both pictures, if that’s any help.

mai5x · 28/03/2018 07:52

Haha the things you learn from Mumsnet ey!! I don't have amazon prime which is annoying! Think I'll have to have a trek to the shopping centre straight after work!

Thanks! I thought I was going crazy but it's so faint and I know blue tests can be Evaps!!

OP posts:
Shedmicehugh1 · 28/03/2018 07:55

The line isn’t faint in the pictures! How long did you leave it before line appeared?

mai5x · 28/03/2018 07:57

Really?!?! I thought it was so faint I could hardly see it!!

About a minute and a half to two minutes, no more than three! I just thought unless it was super strong and the same colour as the vertical line it wasn't there! How naive of me haha!

OP posts:
mai5x · 28/03/2018 08:01

Would it be invalid now?! I can definitely see colour in the line...::

looks quite a strong line to me! I thought evaporation lines appeared if the test was left for too long. It’s been a while since I last did one though!

Test again to be sure and report back, I want to know now too!! Smile

mai5x · 28/03/2018 08:08

The test is suppose to be a cross, not just the line across! I'm so scared haha!

Course shed! I might wait til weekend just to make sure I know for sure!!!

Here's a negative.... the line is so thin and only pretty much on one half of the test!

I had a clearblue exactly like that, it turned out to be negative but I got my hopes up.

That's not to say yours is negative, try a pink dye test. One thing Mumsnet has taught me is that blue dye tests are useless!

Shedmicehugh1 · 28/03/2018 08:17

Oh I see, tests have changed since I last did one! I was going by the TV advert for clear blue!

Fingers crossed for you x

mai5x · 28/03/2018 08:24

Ah sorry, I should have been clearer!!

I have a zoomed in picture but can't post as you're only allowed 6 a day!x

Are these tests notorious for false BFP's?

OP posts:
Rundemlegs · 28/03/2018 09:05

Never trust Sainsbury's or clear blue (non digital).

mai5x · 28/03/2018 09:13

Oh are they really that bad?

Is it just evap or is there another reason why they give false positives?! I went to a massive Sainsburys and Tesco's yesterday and they only had clear blue or Sainsburys own brand and I know clear blue are awful but didn't think Sainsburys was the same!

OP posts:
DollyLlama · 28/03/2018 09:44

They don't give false positives but they do pick up the other line slightly sometimes and when you're squinting, it can give false hope.

I had a whole thread agreeing I was pregnant when I wasn't, it's easy to misread them.

mai5x · 28/03/2018 09:56

I suppose, I just thought a line wouldnt come up at all unless there was some HCG in my system?!

I've ordered a FRER which is coming tomorrow morning so I will update everyone on Friday!
