WTF is going on after MC?!

I’m on my second “period” after MC and it just doesn’t seem to be getting going. I had hardly any bleeding yesterday and today it’s virtually stopped!
I get period type pains all month long, then when period due nothing really comes out. Anyone been through the same? I am seeing a gynaecologist about this, but just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience?!? X

Hi Kate. Periods after a MC can go awfully wonky for a while. With my first MC my periods were very light, hardly there in fact and then four months in I had an awful, heavy period. After my second MC I only had the one period before I got pregnant again but it was heavy and very painful.
I am so sorry you've suffered. It is an awful time and periods doing weird things only makes it worse.
I only ask this as you haven't mentioned it but could you be pregnant again? Sometimes you can get a small bleed from implantation. I don't want to raise your hopes or upset you but only you know if there's a chance. Flowers for you.

No bleeding but all over the place and it's driving me insane now. Had MC in January then 45 days later my period appeared. Cycles are much more painful and my skin is terrible. It's like I get aches and acne 3 times now... got it atm just for fun obv no ovulation or period... then flare up at ovulation then at period. Generally defo more aware of my body and every ache. Had positive opks days apart roughly 5 times. Now on CD 18 and waiting for positive opk going bloody insane!!!!

It’s reassuring to hear I’m not the only one! I was naively hoping I would feel myself again by now but nope! Emotionally I’m better but physically my body will just not get back to normal. I’m having a laparoscopy in a few weeks as I’ve had left sided pelvic pain for weeks and no explanation why! I’m so fed up I’m having the lap 😫......
I feel like I need a good heavy period to “clear me out” if that makes any sense. I’m sadly not pregnant, been doing plenty of tests 😢 xxx

I've just got my period after my MC 10weeks ago. Fairly light so far. Expecting it to be a bit heavy as my miscarriage was light so we'll see how this goes....

PineappleScrunchie · 28/03/2018 08:07

I had three strange months after miscarriage, then conceived straight away once everything was back to normal.

HidCat · 28/03/2018 18:18

Period seems to have stopped now so looks like I'm in the same boat as you @Kate8989.

Kate8989 · 28/03/2018 18:21

@HidCat I’m so fed up! Having a laparoscopy in a few weeks as something does not feel right at all x

@Kate8989 have they said much about what the reason could be? I know it's normal for things to be a bit off but sounds like things have been really weird for you.

Kate8989 · 28/03/2018 21:09

@HidCat they don’t know. That’s why they’ve said the only way I can get some more definitive answers is by having the lap. That’s what I’m in desperate need of. I’ve been having left sided pelvic ache/pain/soreness since the miscarriage (not related to cycles as doesn’t get better or worse with)... just stays the same. My left side also feels “full” and I worry that’s one of the reasons I’m not menstruating properly (sorry for the essay) X

@Kate8989 that sucks, I hope they find some answers and it's an easy fix.
