4 days late but negative tests

I hope someone can advise, I'm driving myself mad here.

I came off cerazette with the New Year, and I've had fairly regular cycles of 27 days since then. This month, my BBT app (Natural Cycles) says I ovulated on CD14, and it's now CD31 and still no AF, no spotting, nothing. I've been having weird twinges since Friday that are almost like AF pains, but they stop after 5 minutes instead of being constant (and getting much worse) through to CD2-3. I'm discounting breast soreness as a symptom as they always are right before AF.

I've done internet cheapie tests with FMU the last 4 days, all very clear negatives. This month was pretty stressful with work, so now I'm worried it's just delayed AF. Any thoughts? And when I snap and go buy an expensive test ahead of travelling out of the country again on Friday, which one do I get?

It could be stress or perhaps you ovulated later or perhaps it might take you a while to get a positive. With my first I ovulated when expected and didn't get a positive until something like 21dpo. I was a week late before I got a positive.

First Response (pink dye) ones are the most reliable. Steer clear of tesco as they nearly always give a second line, as do clear blue apparently x

Ok, thanks for the advice :) Wow, 21dpo, that's so long to wait for a positive!

I really just want to know either way, it's so frustrating. Sometimes I feel like my body just can't get anything right!
