TTC baby number 2. First time round we did it most days but this time round we're mostly too tired (!) so trying to do it every other day. So out of interest just wondering how often other people (who are not doing OPKS) do it throughout the month? Nosey I know but I'm wondering should we be doing it more?? Also those who do test for ovulation just out of interest how much do you DTD when you think you're about to ovulate / are ovulating?

I read somewhere reputable (though can’t now remember where) that DTD regualry throughout the month, not just when you’re fertile, helps your body ‘accept’ OH’s sperm and means there’s a fresh supply (god that sounds yuk but YKWIM!) when you are fertile. As for how often though? I think sperm stays ‘fresh’ for 2-3 days so I’d imagine every few days would be enough?? This is a guess though! (That’s what we went for and have had two pregnancies despite me having wildly irregular cycles!) But god knows with a little one just whenever you feel you can muster the energy is probably most realistic! Wink

Not that it's helped so far but we DTD pretty regular throughout the month. (or what I interpret as regular 😊)

At least every 3 days is usual throughout the month.

Then every day during fertile period.

We fell easily with our first two but have been trying 6-7 months now for number three so regular sec not seeming to help at the moment.

First pregnancies were within two cycles.

This time round proving somewhat harder so I have started doing ovulation Tests this month to see if we are missing it somehow.
