Brown/black blood

A week before AF is due (or so the app says I don't think god himself knows when AF is coming anymore) Hmm I have had a small amount of brown & some black blood. Never ever have I had bleeding between cycles not when pregnant either so this is a whole new territory for me. Has/does anyone else experience this & know what causes it? TIA! Not TTC by the way, but have been maybe less than super careful once.... Blush

Sounds like old blood, go to your gp for a check up. It’s probably nothing but black blood could be a sign of infection x

Thank you. I've called the doctor waiting for a call back, it's continued this morning very light but all small clots (sorry tmi) I have very mild cramps too. Think it's best to get checked out x

Not to worry you if at all unexpected but this could be an implant bleed if it's out the norm. I had it with all three pregnancies days up to a week before period due with cramps!

No, no pregnancy test taken. Really @redpramlady? the way I've described? Small, stringy dark brown clots? Thanks for any info x

The doctor just called. He advised I take a HPT as there is slight concern over ectopic. If the test is negative it's asked if I can see the nurse for swabs to rule out infection. X

Yes, mine was juts like that with my first two. This time pink and dark.

Hi redpramlady bleeding is in full swing now just an odd & delayed start to AF I think! I didn't take a HPT... & seems pointless now! AF is very early over a week & ironically the one time with had unprotected sex would have been the day before ovulation so we're very lucky!! Maybe this is a stark remind of how thinking you're tracking your cycles isn't the best form of contraception! I spent most of last summer pregnant I'd quite like a glass of wine or 2 this year WineGrin thanks for your advice! X
