Natural ways to enhance fertility?

My husband and I have been going through some stressful issues the last year or so. I think this could be why I am not conceiving. I am healthy and what not otherwise and both his sperm count and my eggs are in good shape. It seems like it just isn't happening for us.

My doctor recommended we try another 6 months and go from there. He doesn't want to issue any kind of hormone therapy if he doesn't have to. Are there any natural options I can try to help?

We have only been TTC for 1 month so I am in no way qualified to tell yu what to do but I didn't want to read and run. Have yu tried vitamins, I've read about them a lot on other threads and I take the seven seas TTC vitamins which contain folic acid etc and this month I've started evening primrose oil to hell with cm. Yu could maybe also try a fertility lube like conceive plus or pre seed if yu haven't already. Hope yu don't mind me commenting as I no some people don't like people commenting when they have just started TTC but every little helps lol

You could try some yoga and meditation and I agree with the poster above that vitamins can are good. Fertility acupuncture and massage is one I’ve been hearing about but haven’t tried myself. Make sure you’re a healthy weight, drink plenty of water. I’ve cut alcohol and caffeine this month because apparently that’s not great. I’ve also started to take serrapeptase as it’s supposed to clear the Fallopian tubes - I’ve only got one after an ectopic so hoping this might help me. Good luck 😊

Vitamins for sure. And 'giving up'- the one month I was like nah, I'm not even going to track a single thing or try because we're moving house so there is no chance... Was the month I fell pregnant.
Likewise with my second pregnancy. I'd given up and hadn't expected anything. It's a lot to do with the tiniest amount of stress (which is why yoga and meditation helps)
Now trying again and hoping it sticks for baby no. 2 and would love to know more about natural aids to conceive
I also have heard good things about acupuncture but not tried it myself.
I'm taking pre natal vitamins, and maca root powder for hormone balancing and boost of cm. Also known to have fertility boosting effect but I don't think there is much evidence in that.
Some women swore by eating pineapple core for 5 days after ovulation, and others say about Brazilian nuts.
Good luck with anything you go with!

@Emmafh3 my giving up alcohol lasted all of a week - had one too many wines yesterday 😂

Emmafh3 · 25/03/2018 20:04

Hahaha I meant giving up ttc! My bad. I don't touch the stuff nor does the hubby so I totally forgot that alcohol exists Halo
A drink a day keeps the doctor away right ;)

I have been seeing a natural fertility specialist and so far I am on supplements, changed my diet, getting reflexology and acupuncutre and working on breating and meditation. It has only been for the last month so no bfp yet but I feel much healthier and less stressed so hopefully it is all helping!

@Emmafh3 @nerofire63 - Did the natural way work again for you? I see these messages were from last year.
