Confusion after MMC

I have posted on here before as it's really the only help I have had in cleaning up any confusion I've had.

Myself and partner already have one DD (3) trying since November 17 for number 2. Used opks in December and had a positive pregnancy test in January this year. Sadly I had an ultrasound at around 8 weeks pregnant and a MMC was confirmed, the sac had formed but nothing else, sac confirmed at only 5 weeks anyway. In the rush and upset of the scan I didn't ask many questions and the ones I did ask the sonographer was not helpful. I asked if the MMC was caused by a blighted ovum she said no but gave no other explanation.

Anyway had an induced MC on the following Monday 19th Feb and bled for about 3 and a half weeks at the end it was very dark 'old blood' I had been getting positive pregnancy test until last week when I had a negative and another negative on Saturday just gone with a positive OPK so me and other half have been trying all weekend. Then last night I did a pregnancy test just for the hell of it and it was positive not a weak positive quite a positive positive...and the opk was also positive

I'm just so confused I'm sure I can't already be pregnant although we had been having sex about 2 weeks after the MC but I have zero symptoms except thrush and being horribly grouchy and down in the dumps but that could be AF.

When would I expect to have a period return? And if I don't have a period at what point do I go and see a doctor? The MMC was awful but now I'm just totally confused with unanswered questions, my EPU are so unhelpful and don't have the time to be answering any of my questions...

Please help

So sorry for your loss.

I think the fact that you had two negative tests before this positive suggests that this could be a new pregnancy.

Have you just done the one test? X

Thanks so much for your reply

I did another today and it was positive but not as positive as the one yesterday, I feel like my body is just going through a whirlwind at the moment. Hearing conflicting information as well about when to expect your period after MC some people saying four weeks some people saying upto six is considered normal....

I have tried to get an appointment at my GP but none left for today I just need some advice really.

Thanks for your msg x
