Thread 6... 😑

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

I've just brushed my teeth to stop me eating the whole bag. Grin
Right off to sleep! (Kidding, I'll be reading classics in the dark as usual)

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/03/2018 22:02

@WonkyDonk87. You rotten sod! Grin I thought we were supposed to support each other lol. I am almost at the end of day 3 with no chocolate! Halo I'm going to beat his addiction!

Bubblegum89 · 21/03/2018 22:04

A big yammers house would be amazing. All watching the tv and one of us runs out the bathroom yelling “I’ve got ewcm, I need to get shagging!” And we could all get our periods in sync 😂

OP posts:
SoozC · 21/03/2018 22:06

I'll beat it too, Looking. Just as soon as they make caramel lattes and white chocolate without refined sugar, I'll be right on it.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/03/2018 22:06

@Bubblegum89. Do you think if I moved in I might actually be regular for once?! Shock

Bubblegum89 · 21/03/2018 22:09

looking worth a shot and if not, at least there’ll always be chocolate

OP posts:
SoozC · 21/03/2018 22:09

Hah, Bubble, yes! We'd totally be in sync. And we could have two kitchens - one with sugar, one without. And the bathroom would have a big dispensing machine full of vits and mooncups and opks and a shelf with our personal pee cups on it, all named.

Or have I gone too far?!

bridget33 · 21/03/2018 22:10

So I am two days late, no sign of my period and I had another bfn earlier. Ttc can be soooo cruel! I was so regular until we started ttc as well. Another massive meh moment for me!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/03/2018 22:17

@SoozC. You would have to triple lock the kitchen with sugar so I couldn't get in there Grin

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/03/2018 22:18

@bridget33. Sorry about the bfn. I would rather just get a period than stare at a blank test x

bridget33 · 21/03/2018 22:23

Thanks @LookingAtTheStars89. I just hate the tricks our bodies play on us. I may test again on Friday if it still hasn't arrived. Have read loads of posts of people who have had positives a week after they were due on but I know deep down this is wishful thinking. Especially as I've been late a couple of times before. Hmm

myusernameisnotmyusername · 21/03/2018 22:38

Ha ha no problem wonkydonk. It's ok I'm late for my period and trying not to think about it. But I was this late last month as well. I also hate how your body plays tricks on you. Ironically when I did get pregnant with dd I had zero 'symptoms' and it was the one month I'd stopped thinking about it! Desperately trying to get back in that frame of mind.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 21/03/2018 22:39

Sorry to hear about your bfn Bridget.

pinkdonkey · 21/03/2018 23:33

@LookingAtTheStars89 meat, fish, veg, dairy, nuts and seeds. It's surprising what good recipes there are out there. Today I have had natural yoghurt with homemade granola (sugar and grain free) and mixed berries for breakfast and homemade pizza (the base is made from ground almond, mozzarella, soft cheese and egg) for tea with sugar free ice cream and homemade double choc chip cookies (sugar free with dark choc chips and ground almonds instead of flour) Basically have to make everything from scratch now though nothing out a packet or jar as they are all full of crap even the ones that claim to be healthy.

Bubblegum89 · 21/03/2018 23:43

sooz that sounds amazing haha. Can we do this? Make it into a reality show on itv2?

So I’m sitting in bed, doing some uni work and I’m like “hmm, my vag feels a bit strange” like wet but not. As I’m pantsless and disgusting, I reach down and do a wipe with the ol’ finger and I got a load of that fleshy weird stuff again. There was a little bit of old brown blood mixed in but I kinda wiped that bit off and the stuff was stringy and clumpy and fleshy coloured. Obviously it’s lining but why is it falling out of me? In all my 18 months of ttc, this hasn’t happened before. I mean, some comes out during my “flow” so it’s red. But I’m having no flow and it’s just coming out on it’s own, non-bloody. Am I broken? Has my uterus given up and is just slowly disintegrating into nothing? I wouldn’t be bothered if it was red but it’s FLESH coloured, it’s so weird. I just studied it extensively, not going to lie.

That does sound a but unusual bubble - was your period a couple of days ago? Think I've had some lining the day after a light period stopped (though usually during if I do see it), maybe this AF has been a bit different? Though that does continue your run of fun new things your body is doing...Hmm If you're seeing a GP or have another FC appt, maybe mention it? Sorry, hope it's not worrying you

SoozC · 22/03/2018 07:17

Err, Bubble, you know we said there's no such thing as tmi? ...

Well, I have no idea. I don't know if it relates to your treat and is a one-off this cycle or if it's a new norm. Sorry, it must be weirding you out.

Rhr down again to 65bpm. I know it's not the be all and end all but I'm feeling less hopeful now and more like fp will come at the weekend. I don't feel preggers at all.

SoozC · 22/03/2018 07:18

Treat? I mean test!

Si1ver · 22/03/2018 07:50

@Bubblegum89 it might be time to talk to your doctor about that one love.

Bubblegum89 · 22/03/2018 08:11

Thanks ladies. Haha sooz I knew you’d be sorry you said that. At least I didn’t post a picture like people do on fb groups 😂

I’ve been discharged from the fertility clinic now and have to pay it I want to see them again (£195!) Period was only two day and not had any bleeding/spotting since Monday afternoon and then all that weird lining stuff yesterday. It wasn’t loads but enough for me to be like wtf. I’m wondering if it’s to do with the tests as it seems a coincidence that all this weird stuff is going on since having it done. I’m not having any pain, it just randomly appears. I might ring my GP today if I notice any more, just to check my insides aren’t falling out through my lady bits

"Check my insides aren't falling out through my lady bits"

Please please please use these exact words when ringing the GP Grin

LexieJean · 22/03/2018 08:47

Fantastically entertaining catching up with yammer chat on the train this morning! Personal pee cups all lined up @sooz 😂😂

DoAsDreamersDo · 22/03/2018 09:04

Ooh a shared house! that sounds lovely. I'm not sure if I'd use the sugar free kitchen or not though.

Bubble that does sound strange (sorry). I think it may be worth contacting your GP about fleshy bits falling out of you!

SparkwoodAnd21 · 22/03/2018 09:12

I like the sound of the Yammer house. Another reason to spend lots of time on Rightmove. We can do Medication Time a couple of times a day like in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, and smash the shit out of yams for therapy.
