A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

@Cariad2017 I’m sorry about FP. Maybe give it a few months after hycosy to see if it clears anything? I don’t think you should go into IVF unless you are properly prepared as you say.

My FP hasn’t appeared yet. Always have a 28-29 day cycle. I thought I ovulated Saturday 2 weeks ago as did FF until it changed its mind a few days later to the Monday. So I think my cycles might still be a bit off after miscarriage.

In other horrible news I have thrush. Again. Flared up during my 5 weeks of antibiotics after miscarriage/wisdom tooth infection and have treated it 3 times with no avail. Going to treat DH as I don’t think condoms do much to prevent spreading thrush, and try the pessaries as tablets not working. It’s driving me mad, and the mini heatwave due next week will not help!

@cariad sorry fp arrived, we can be off the squad together this month. Hope the HyCoSy goes okay for you.

Sorry for fp showing up cariad you never know, your HyCoSy might help, I’ve seen so many women say they got pregnant soon after one. Also they’re not as bad as people make out!

So fp is due for me tomorrow or possibly Monday. I woke up at 6am this morning and the first thought that came into my head was “I think I’m pregnant” how sad is that 😂 my brain has somehow conditioned itself to be a complete and utter moron. I’m getting cramps anyway so I think fp will be here in the morning. I’m thinking if there’s anything I can try next cycle. I literally only do opks and have sex, I feel like I should be doing more

Put my foot right in it with a friend last night moaning about bloody baby showers and that they’re a crappy American import I don’t believe in and if she ever has one I won’t attend (we were already a bottle of wine in) and then she told me she’s organising her SIL’s baby shower and has made the most adorable invitations. I am a horrible person and TTC is making me worse.

Speaking of blogs by the way, I would really like some guest posts on mine so if any of you would like to write one, that would be amazing! It can be anonymous if you want. Doesn’t have to be a long post, even just a paragraph or so on how infertility/ttc affects you emotionally and physically, how it affects your relationships etc. Let me know if any of you would be up for writing something :)

Told my OH today I have joined this blog and how it helps me chatting with others struggling with ttc as all my friends seem to be super fertile and have no problems getting pregnant. I still can't face calling my best friend back who is pregnant with her second child after two months of trying. We were messaging and she recommended using an app as that what worked for her sigh. What she doesn't know is that I use two apps, vitamins, pre seed, ovulation tests and have even used swimmers that have escaped down my leg and tried poking them up there just in case! Never mind being a crazy pregnant lady (if it ever happens!) I am a crazy ttc lady! Big love to you all and I hope everyone has a nice, relaxing weekend. X

Hi girls, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I've just been told by my mum that she's embarrassed of the fact I've wasted valuable Nhs funding to look into my fertility struggle because I've already got a beautiful son and I should learn to appreciate him and be grateful for that. She doesn't understand that I adore him and DO appreciate him. I just happen to want him to have a baby brother or sister.

Added to that the fact that my brother has just looked at me like I have a disease because "it's just sex! We're having a baby and we didn't even try" and "you're clearly doing it wrong because no one takes this long to have a baby. You could have had three by now!"

@WonkyDonk87 I'd rather take that stick and shove it where the sun doesn't shine! I do feel bad wanting another baby. I feel worse now because it's been pointed out to me that people never have a child and I'm being greedy.

I'm about to take my child home and appreciate him 😆

The NHS wouldn’t fund anything unless they thought it was worth it. In fact I think if it funded more there would be a lot less depression in people with fertility issues.

Still no FP here, nipple pain has improved though so expecting it by tomorrow. Even though I’ve used contraception I’m still dreading it. Some strange psychological phenomenon I’m sure!

@starwishing I feel the very same about having another baby. My DD would love a sibling. Due date for first miscarriage was last month, second one is June, last one is September. I seem to be surrounded by people having babies at just those times!

I fee like I won't have a baby because now of course my brother and SIL are having one so I won't get pregnant till after there's has been born in October because i would t be lucky enough to get a baby too. It's not that they've stolen my Chance, but I feel like everyone gets pregnant INSTEAD of me 😂

Had a baby bomb today from a friend who looks amazing whilst pregnant she's 16 weeks and I am happy for her but has rubbed salt in my wounds this week. I've had some mild cramps today so fully expecting af this month. Due 27th

As for fp, I think it’s due tomorrow. Still just getting loads of watery milky cm but just waiting for it to turn brown then fp to show up. Sorry about the baby bomb :( they’re so crap

@starwishing I feel like that sometimes too, irrationally. A girl I work with and a fellow bridesmaid for an upcoming wedding both have the same due date as I had for my last miscarriage. I feel like they’ve stolen it! Although I obviously hide the crazy in real life.

@Owlpatrol I looked so awful when pregnant, always jealous of people who get the glow! Although I’d take getting past the first trimester now at this point.

Thrush is driving me crazy, really don’t want to waste gp time with thrush though! I just can’t seem to clear it. Gave DH a fluconazole tablet yesterday in case he’s passing it to me.

I’ve woken with cramps so expecting FP to start today. I’m not sure my temps have been very accurate as I wake a lot at night, but it’s still going up. Should I expect it to drop before FP or is it immediately after?

It’s my first month doing it, as much out of interest to see a normal cycle to stop driving myself mad in future. I’m wondering if early non viable pregnancies can be picked up by falling temps. Since I have a lot more trouble staying pregnant than getting pregnant.

Fp is due today (yay) Not shown up yet but I’m avoiding going to the toilet as I can’t face the brown spotting right now lol

I’m still not sure I actually ovulated this cycle. I had pains/cramps in my left side on cd14 and ewcm for two days prior to that but with no definite positive on an opk, I can’t help thinking that I just didn’t ovulate. If so, will fp be late? On time? Not show up at all? I’ve never missed a period from not ovulating and the only times I’ve had a slightly later period is when I’ve ovulated late (confirmed with positive opks) so I don’t think I’ve ever not ovulated before so I have no idea what happens if you don’t...

Bubble, remember an opk can only show a LH rise, not confirm ov. So it may be a) there have been cycles you haven't ov'd and b) there may have been cycles the positive opk incorrectly indicated ov as once you had a positive you could have stopped testing but that was only the first surge and you actually ov'd a few days later and would have seen a second LH surge. Does that help it probably doesn't ?

Para, my bbt normally starts to drop slightly a couple of days before fp then the day of fp a bigger drop.

@Bubblegum89 as Sooz said OPKs only pick up surge, don’t confirm ovulation. They also often only stay positive for a short while so it’s easy to miss the positive. I’ve used them and missed the surge on cycles I’ve conceived so I don’t find them too reliable.

Sooz that’s interesting. My RHR on Fitbit only drops the day FP starts so wonder if I’m weird and my temp does too. This is the chart, it’s very up and down but I do wake a lot at night!

That makes sense Sooz. I’ve only ever been late for fp twice and they were two consecutive months so I’m assuming that if I’ve had anovulatory cycles before, I must just get fp at the normal time? Would that seem right? I know for definite that the first of the two months fp was late (36 day cycle instead of 28 😑) I ovulated as it’s the month I had all my blood tests done and they confirmed it. Argh just when I’m into the rhythm of things! So annoying. How are things with you?
