Following on from our last (many) threads, this is one for anyone hoping for a Christmas baby number two.

My stats -

Age: 35
Cycle: 24+ lost count..
DC: 3yo this month
AF due 19th April
Not a hint of a bfp in that time

I'm charting now and send myself crazy every tww so come join me for the bumpy ride x

Ah sorry peanut, you'll still be in the April thread though no? Hope you're not feeling too down.

mayago i tend to just poas on my own these days and let dh know afterwards. Cant bear the anticipation and disappointment!

Back with dd now, she didn't cry once with her grandparents and was a little star so they said they'd love a repeat- woohoo!! Bonus.

Has everyone else sworn off chocolate yet?

Hi ladies

Sorry to hear AF showed peanut.

may, I haven’t done a test since getting pregnant with DD but then I did it in the middle of the day when OH was at work and test him the result! He nearly died at his desk I think Grin

I went back on the same pill as before DD. I’ve googled and apparently the bloating etc is a very common side effect of coming off it.

I’ve ever heard of an instead cup - what is it?!

Realistically, I’ll be out for April and not back in the game until May now. There hasn’t been an DTD as I’ve felt so crap, but feel much better now. AF due around 15/16 April so we’ll crack on with trying after that.

HidCat · 01/04/2018 13:19

@CatRen27 not yet, still on the gimme gimme gimme stage lol

Peanut1980 · 01/04/2018 16:30

Thanks ladies. Ahh I was quite upset about it yesterday. Had a good sob about it and have since drawn a line underneath it to move on. I’m usually used to it but I thought I felt different this month. Never mind. I’m due on my next period on 28th April so fingers crossed for then 🤞🤞🤞

I hope everyone else has more success. Would be great to see some more BFP’s on this thread xxx

TwittleBee · 01/04/2018 20:49

CatRen27 I am a weird one this Easter. Just haven't been fussed by it. Got an egg in the fridge that OH got me and not fancying it one bit.

Peanut1980 sorry you got really down with AF, don't blame you at all for getting like. Bloody tough this TTC shit.

sodababy2 · 01/04/2018 21:43

Sorry about AF peanut, it's so tough.

It looks like I ovulated yesterday - got a positive OPK CD13 and 14 (yesterday) but can't confirm as I gave up temping this month! We DTD CD11, 13, 14, and 15 so good timing. For some reason I just feel quite negative about this cycle though. Already looking at next cycle timings and DH is away with work for 5 days over ovulation so feel lots of pressure for this to work.

Not going to test early this month - just going to wait until AF hopefully doesn't show up!

Good luck everyone!

TwittleBee · 02/04/2018 03:15

sodababy2 FX for You. You've got timing spot on this month hopefully if OPKs are right!

LopeyLopez · 02/04/2018 06:38

Sorry about af peanut....my next af is due round about same time as yours (27th April)....we are also similar age (I've just turned 38) and same number of cycles (I've just started 15....).....we can be cycle buddies! Not much consolation I know but at least you know someone else is in the same (rubbish!) boat 👍😜

Pinklily1 · 02/04/2018 10:04

Morning! Does anyone else use Ovia and also opk’s? Ovia tells me I’m slap bang in the middle of fertile window, but so far, opk’s have been about as negative as ou can get!! They are from last pregnancy though and technically went out of date in November, but surely they should still work?!

Pinklily1 · 02/04/2018 10:05

Ps soda, some very well timed DTD! Fingers and toes crossed for you this month.

mayago · 02/04/2018 10:15

Pink Ovia was off for me this month- I ovulated three days before it suggested, and it recalculated after I entered data on CM. I can't see OPKs going off, but you never know!

Fingers crossed soda

Sorry af got you peanut It's a really rough ride, this TTC business Flowers

CatRen I gave up chocolate for March, and it just doesn't taste the same now. Doesn't stop me from trying it over and over to see if it's right yet though...

sodababy2 · 02/04/2018 12:50

Pink I'm not a big fan of Ovia. I've been using Fertility Friend. It's not as 'pretty' as Ovia but I find it really good. I use that and OPKs. I was temping and using FF charts as well but taking a break from that for a bit so FF just detects ovulation based on OPKs and any other info I put it.

sodababy2 · 02/04/2018 12:52

May DH likes to be involved in my POAS pregnancy testing but last month I did it in secret because I couldn't deal with his disappointment as well as mine.

Not planning on testing this month though unless AF is late - remind me I said this closer to the time!

ClumsyFool · 02/04/2018 13:20

Hi I’m just into the 2ww, af due 11th April and it’s cycle 4 for us, had a chemical in January.
I used pre-seed for the first time this month, no idea whether it will make a difference but I guess it just felt good to feel like I had a tiny bit of extra input which I know is daft but there we go Smile

YassQueen · 02/04/2018 14:54

I can't DTD today and left my OPKs at home. Had a faint OPK line on Saturday so fingers crossed ov will hold off until tomorrow. It can't hurt to DTD the day after ovulation though can it? (Well I mean it can't hurt to DTD at any time Grin but is there still a chance if you do it the day after?).

ClumsyFool · 02/04/2018 15:16

Sorry I need to learn to read a thread title properly, totally missed the #2 bit!! Blush I’m ttc no 1 so I shall bow out and wish you all lots and lots of good vibes and luck and keep my fingers crossed for bfps in the very near future for you all Flowers

YassQueen · 02/04/2018 15:44

Best of luck with TTC Clumsy, there are some great general TTC threads and specific TTC#1 threads on here so you're bound to find the right one! Sorry to hear of your chemical in January, sending good vibes for the future Flowers

mayago · 02/04/2018 22:06

I've just realised my stash of 'FRERs' aren't the Early Result tests, but the Rapid Results ones Confused I didn't realise there were two different First Response products, and these are much less sensitive. Should I be sensible and wait for AF, or spend more money on things to pee on?

I'm really getting tired of Ovia's Clear Blue ads. They almost make me feel guilty for using regular OPKs and not these..

Best of luck to you on your TTC journey Clumsy

CatRen27 · 03/04/2018 05:00

pink i also prefer fertility friend, it is so detailed and i think a lot 'smarter ' than the other apps. I also use ovia (and countdown to pregnancy but that's waaaay off) just to fulfill my obsessive tendencies but only really trust ff.

mayago what's the difference in sensitivity? Id try to hold off until af is due to avoid wasting ££ (but would fail miserably.. not good at taking my own advice..). I've not got any ICs this month so will take a shedload of willpower not to literally piss $$ down the drain with the frers..

I think i got my opk+ yesterday so should ov today i think. Weve dtd 4 days in a row so once again tonight and tomorrow for good measure and we'll have done our best effort. We're both pretty exhausted but its definitely brought us closer together this month

OP posts:
YassQueen · 03/04/2018 14:04

I've just started using FF based on the recommendations here so thanks all Grin hopefully it'll be better than Ovia which I find really off.

Just had a positive OPK so thankfully haven't missed ovulation. DH just grinned when I told him Grin

mayago · 03/04/2018 14:31

Cat I think they're 25mIU/ml as opposed to like 6.5 for FRERs. The packaging says not 6 days early, but effective from the day of missed period, or something like that. Such a rookie mistake!! I'm also out of ICs, and don't want to stock up as I'd rather just be pregnant already! And I have 4 or 5 FRRRs and a couple packs of digitals I couldn't resist when there was a special offer...

Sounds like this thread will be quiet as all the positive OPKs will mean people have better things to do over the next couple of days... Grin

Also - how lovely to read DTD bringing you together this month Cat TTC can do the opposite here!!

Knittinggurl · 03/04/2018 19:20

Please can I join too?

Age 39
DD 9 months
Cycle 4

I'm on CD 17 today and had my peak OPK 48 hours ago so I don't think there's anything more I can do this month. AF due 17 April.
I know many others have been TTC for much longer - I'm so sorry to hear your stories. Still getting me down a bit now tho....

CatRen27 · 03/04/2018 22:51

Welcome knittinggurl! Its certainly no competition, ttc for any length of time can be rough, sorry its getting you down. Did you struggle with dc1?

I had ov pain last night so didn't dtd which is crazy but the last thing i needed was to be jabbed in the cervix by dh.. romantic huh! We'll dtd tonight just in case and then calm down a bit i think.

mayago i know it's strange, usually its the opposite but i swear having those few nights to ourselves brought stress levels right down to zero. Turns out I'm quite tightly wound up most of the time..!

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 04/04/2018 08:07

YassQueen lovely hope you got in plenty of DTD!

Knittinggurl hi there! as CatRen27 rightly pointed out any amount of TTC is tough! Hope you get your BFP soon lovely.

CatRen27 Did oyu have plenty of DTD before Ovulation though? I'm sure timings will still be okay! FX!

We DTD last night, I should be ovulating in 5/6days! I've decided I'm giving in this month and just admitting I need to stock up on FRER from asda rather than going for last minute runs to pricier stores to get them because I cannot resist them HAHA

HidCat · 04/04/2018 12:15

@TwittleBee watch out in Asda though as all the ones I ever visit only stock the Rapid Response, not the early response! Make sure it says 6days earlier on the packaging! Can you tell I got caught out on that one lol.
