I have thought I have had implantation bleeds before but they have been nothing to what has happened this month, well this morning to be exact.

I am on CD 19 of a 28 day cycle, I tested positive for ovulation on Friday and obviously we have been bd'ing for the last week.

Is it possible to have an implantation bleed at this stage.

I think its possible from about 5 days after ovulation..

I am 5 dpo.. I have to say this the first ever symptom I have ever had to be honest, I have never ever bleed like this and it is old brown blood not the new stuff you tend to get with your AF. My cycles go 32 days, 29 days, 32 days, 29 days etc..

Do you think this could be a good sign? I have no other symtoms at all at the moment, however it would be too soon do you think??

It does sound like a good sign but it is so, so hard to tell at this stage. Waiting is all you can do!! There is a 2ww thread which you would be welcome on!

I had implantation bleeds with both my dc's im pretty sure - one about 3 days after ovulation (and conception it turned out!) and ds was about 5/6 days after ovulation - not quite sure which day he was actually conceived good luck though! fingers crossed for you .......

Hi Bluebell
Brown spotting can be good news and is certainly how some early, successful pgs start.
However for me it led to a BFP followed by an early miscarriage and for another mnetter it led to a miscarriage a few weeks in.
I think it is impossible to tell which way it will go so stay positive, take care of yourself (don't over do excerise or late nights) and take folic acid.

(Feel free to ask if you need anything - and I hope this post hasn't stressed you out)

Hi choclatedays it hasn't stressed me at all, I have not had an implantation bleed like this before, it is still brown very light, but when I wiped just now there were some stringy red things, gross I know sorry1
But when I was pregnant in sept/oct, I had no symptoms except for large boobs- which have not gone day since much to my dismay- and with my ectopis 4 years ago there was nothing at all no symptoms, so in a way when I get a BFP i will only be content if I have jordan boobs and I am being sick because otherwise I will convince myself it will be failed!

just wanted to add that I rang the doctor today who was really helpful but basically rubbished the idea of it being an implantation bleed and said it could be a urinary infection???? Now I have never ever bled from any urinary infection and I have only had two in all my life.

He also told me nopt to test, I asked why and he said that if it was a pregnancy, it may not stick basically because of my previous problems, I hate him! because it has taken them 2 years to refer us because of these 'problems'
