When am I going to ovulate??

Hi everyone, I'm new to this so unsure exactly how much I'm supposed to share! Lol. This is my first cycle trying for baby no 2. I've been using the clear blue Opk and have so far had 12 flashing faces in a row (clearly started using too soon and I did get a circle to begin with), what I don't get is how can I have so many 'high' fertility days and not even be at peak yet? I've noticed loads more discharge the last few days so feel like I must be ovulating soon. Also had some slight stabbing pain on my left side yesterday. Tell me I'm not going mad and that it must be any time? Thanks xx

Get one of the apps to start tracking as this will help you pin point ovulation. I had the exact same issue as you the first month of using clear blue. Apparently the monitor takes a while to get used to you. I can’t remember exactly how many flashing smilies I got but I gave up after about 15! I got the ovulation smiley face the second month I did it. What I do now is buy lots of the internet cheapies and when the lines are getting quite dark (near ovulation) I start using the clear blue. I normally only have to use around 3 a month now - much more cost effective!

Thanks. I am using an app too but guess it takes time to get to know what your cycle will be like. It's just frustrating when other signs are there and I get that damn flashing smiley again! Lol. I think I have a fairly long cycle, approx 40 days so I think I was being a bit too optimistic those 12 days ago! Lol x

Those flashing smilies are so annoying! It’s also worth taking the stick out and looking at that. It works like a normal ovulation test so if the second line is a similar colour or darker to the control line you should be ovulating soon! You can keep testing this month as long as you don’t mind using lots of the sticks! I think it says on the instructions stop testing after a certain number of days of flashing smilies but I think I went for longer than it says

I'll defo go on longer as want to see if it ever changes. I have started using others now (cheaper from the supermarket) a few they're a lot easier to read. Dtd yesterday just in case as was getting mild stabbing pains in one side so hopefully it's got to be on its way soon. Thanks xx
