Name changed for this as I think I might be being a bit silly.

Did a 99p Clear and Simple test this morning and I think I can see the faintest of lines. I'm 10dpo today. Does anyone else see anything? Are these tests known to give false positives?

Please help! Thanks in advance.

(Full disclosure, I also did one yesterday and thought I could see the barest hint of a line in the same place, but didn't tell anyone as I thought I was imagining things. Still not sure I'm not!)

I think I see it!

Notproudofthisone · 17/03/2018 07:19

I think that’s positive! Looks like mine did.

Stephisaur · 17/03/2018 07:21

Pretty sure I can see something! :)

RLOU88 · 17/03/2018 07:21

Positive x

Vonklump · 17/03/2018 07:22

Positive. Congratulations.
My two for a pound test positive result is currently watching television with his faint line older brother.

fruitcider · 17/03/2018 07:29

I'm really sorry I don't think that's a line, it looks like a water mark which sometimes occurs on the strips....

RLOU88 · 17/03/2018 07:46

OP google other people’s faint positives on Clear and Simple. Your line is in the right place for a positive and looks good to me in comparison.

Fruitcider- what makes you think that by the way is it common with these tests ec?

CrazySquinter · 17/03/2018 08:21

Do these usually watermark in the same place? Because yesterday's test looked like it had a v. v. faint line in just the same spot.

I'll test again tomorrow, with a different brand if I can get one. I just want to know! Sad

You wouldn’t get two water marks in the exact same place as the test line two days in a row. It’s too convenient I have taken this brand loads before I was pregnant and never had one. Come back and tell me off if you get a negative on a different brand if i am wrong please but I highly beleive that’s a BFP x

demirose87 · 17/03/2018 08:40

I can see something, but I can't tell if it has colour to it. I've done these tests before at 10dpo and had very faint positive but the line was coloured. Hoping it is your positive though, you might just be a bit early for a stronger line.

CrazySquinter · 17/03/2018 08:46

It's my own silly fault for testing too early! Last cycle I didn't test so early but the disappointment when it came was pretty crushing so I thought this time if I test early at least I will have some warning. I hadn't factored in the possibility of inconclusive tests!

The line does have a reddish colour in real life.

OP posts:
RLOU88 · 17/03/2018 08:57

You can see the red colouring. Get a FRER and you will know for sure :)

fruitcider · 17/03/2018 09:39

Fruitcider- what makes you think that by the way is it common with these tests ec?

Because I was completely addicted to POAS, I would watch each one intently and I would see the water mark travel across the stick and pause where there should be a line, getting my hopes up of a rainbow baby but when the stick dried out the watermark disappeared. It doesn't look like the right shape or thickness to be a true line - it's too thick and one of the sides is at a diagonal line.

RLOU88 · 17/03/2018 09:46

Ah sorry to hear that, fruit.

CrazySquinter · 18/03/2018 08:15

So I took a FRER with first morning urine today and it's a clear positive! I'm so happy!

I've had self funded fertility treatment so as well as the emotional side of things each unsucessful cycle has significant financial implications too.

I knew it was a line! I had to disagree with you fruit as it was clearly there. Congratulations Flowers
