One of them days?!

Any body else have one of them days when the world seems to scream at you "You are NOT pregnant!!"?!

  1. Ran out of folic acid this morning (a 6 month supply now empty), just a little kick to say we've been trying and still not even a hint of any success.

  2. Got a reminder text from my doctor to get booked in to renew my 6 monthly prescription for contraception, yep another nudge that it's been quiet a while since I stopped taking the pill.

  3. My cousin (who is one of the few people who knows we are TTC) rung me in floods of tears, yep she's pregnant, wasn't planned, a one night stand gone wrong.

Oh and to top it all off I'm ovulating today and have absolutely no desire to DTT because what's the point, the last 4 days of going at it won't have got us any where, it'll only be another month of AF arriving bang on time and we start all over again.

Sorry just needed a rant, it can be so shit feeling like you are a failure at times Sad

I work with Midwives and Health Visitors and normally being around babies and pregnant women doesn't bother me, think a few small personally things today ha pushed me over the edge.

Rant away Heaven! It always seems that when you're having one of those days you can't move for pregnancy test adverts, cute newborns or, my personal favourite, that stupid Clear Blue OPK advert where a man "proposes" with a digital OPK to his partner. Vom.

Have a glass of wine and some chocolate and take care of yourself - and lots of luck for a BFP very soon for you xx

I know some days are worse than others, I went for breakfast with DH the other day and I swear every other table had a baby or toddler with them, I just felt so shitty, sorry you're having a rough day OP Flowers

I had an early loss Tuesday/yesterday and of course yesterday was when my Nan decided ask why we weren't trying for children and wouldn't it be so nice to have a little baby and I shouldn't leave it too long ...

Sorry you're having a hard day, I hope it gets better Flowers

Miserablemouse · 15/03/2018 13:57

Oh Dora I'm sorry about your loss Flowers
People mostly mean well but it's so frustrating even at the best of times, must have been completely heartbreaking for you yesterday.

I nearly had a row with my husband's Nan before Christmas as she was asking after our friend who had gotten pregnant first month of trying (honeymoon baby), and I said she was physically fine but mentally a bit overwhelmed as hadn't expected it to happen so quickly. Nan's response was just repeating "but why?!" and wouldn't listen to a word I said about how it doesn't happen that quickly for a lot of people (hint hint) and they were (pleasantly of course) surprised that it had.
"Well they've nothing to wait for and it's not exactly difficult" - had to bite my tongue reeeeeeeeally hard at that one.

DoraNora · 15/03/2018 15:48

I bet it was very hard to bite your tongue! I probably would have been able to bite my tongue but not avoid bursting into tears, I'm really impressed you were able to hold yourself together. People can be so blind to experiences that aren't exactly the same as their own.

The thing I can't understand about my Nan is that she knows it took 14 years and several miscarriages for my mum to have my younger sister! So infertility and the struggles of ttc are very familiar to my family.

X

Also thank you so much to you lovely ladies, it's so nice to know there are people who understand x

I felt just like you at 6 months then at 7 got my bfp. Keep going. It will happen Flowers
