lissielou, I had an ectopic Sept last year and have found that my periods are v v v heavy since. I am also experiencing bleeding from about day 16 (lighter but still bleeding ). I have an appointment with a gynae on Fri to try and see what is going on.
Sorry not much help but wanted you to know that you are not alone.

definitely much heavier. your hormones just took a big battering, as did your insides. try not to worry about it, you're still healing. doesn't mean there's damage, just that your body is re-adjusting. there are loads of posts like yours on the EPT boards, i'm sure, i used to see them all the time. it's totally common.

lissielou · 07/05/2007 16:56

oh bellie that sounds awful. is this your 1st specialist appt?

Yes it's my first appointment - long story with gp not wanting to do any action each month "let's see how you are next month" ........ in the end I moved house and in changing gp have now got one who was very supportive and referred straight away!

lissielou · 07/05/2007 18:15

thank god! i get the resultsof my tests next month and have my hsg this month, am dreading it! did you have surgery?

Lissie - can't say mine got any worse after the ectopic or the HSG xray. I've always had a lot of premenstrual cramps and they didn't nor did they get any heavier. I have read on the ectopic forum that this has happned to people though. Sorry huin its not really any help to you.

lissielou · 07/05/2007 18:27

PE, while i have you. was your hsg really bad and how long did it take? do i need someone with me?

Hi Lissie - I honestly think its different for everyone. I read lots on the ectopic forum beforehand and most people said it was ok, just a bit of cramping and only a few said they found it more uncomfortable. I seemed to find it quite painful to be honest, especially when they pushed the dye through my tubes. I managed to get through it though and you will too hun.

Don't be scared....take DH, mine held my hand all the way through. I think its just me that found it painful, but then again I seem to find anything to do with my reporductive organs painful these days!!

PinkElephant · 08/05/2007 10:01

p.s - Gawd help me if I ever actually manage to get to the point of giving birth!!!

lissielou · 08/05/2007 10:11
