Cycle length???

3rd month off the pill, stopped in Dec.
Just got BFN and defo feel that i am out this month.

The problem is my cycles are all over the place. I know that it can take up to a year for your cycle to return to normal however my cycle length seems to be increasing each month.
Dec - Jan 28 days
Jan - Feb 30 days
Now Feb - March im on cycle day 31 and not a period in sight....im worried that they are going to continue to get longer each month.

I also seem to have broke out in spots everywhere since stopping the pill including my back and chest. Feel that my hormone levels must be crazy right now.

I have read about agnus castus but seen mixed reviews saying you shouldnt be taking them while trying to conceive, while others say its fine as long as you stop at ovulation..

I couldnt get an appointment with my doc this week so will have to wait until next week. Any advice in the meantime?

Are you using opks to test ovulation date? This is the best thing to do if you have irregular cycles and don't know when you ovulate.

Since coming off the pills my cycles were: 29, 39, 33, 33, and currently on day 34 of current cycle. The 39 month was awful but some women have it even worse so we've both been quite lucky with relatively short cycles. You've just got to let your body get back into the swing of things naturally I think! The less medication the better.

Thanks for the reply @stellarfox. Yeah i use opks and have caught my surge each month...positives have went cd14, cd16 and this month was cd18...so i knew my period would be later this month as even though my cycles and ov have been different i seem to always have a 15 day lp 🤔.

I know it will take a while but i thought my period might have taken a while to come back originally and have been longer then started to shorten but it seems to be going in reverse 😔

So is this your 5month trying? Have you been using opks?

I read it is supposed to be 14 days after ovulation until you get your period (hence the two week wait!) so your period must be due tomorrow if its day 31! Mines due in two days and I can feel cramps so I think I'm out for this month as well :(

Yes we've been using OPKs - it took me a couple of months to get it right to start with though as I started off with clearblue and it said high fertility flashing smilies for such a long time (I dont know if I ovulated the first month)! Now figured out the cheapies are the best but still use clearblue just to confirm when I am near ovulation. We also missed at least one month because of being ill around ovulation. Fingers crossed month 6 is a lucky one as am so impatient!

Good luck to you! Hopefully your cycles won't get much longer, I doubt they will as your body has already had a bit of time to start settling down. Fingers crossed!

Yeah when u get to this stage u just want the witch to hurry up so u can get on with the next month.

Haha funny we do the exact same thing! I don't know if that's what most people do but I just found that is deffo the best method for me! Having to buy another box of clearblue after this month though and also going to try preseed as have read some good things about that. Going to be an expensive month!

I am also down to my last cb opk before i will need to buy another box. I bought preseed last month, hasnt done the trick yet. I used it with my DD 3yrs ago and got my bfp that month so defo worth a try x
