Hi, my and my fiancé are planning a honeymoon in Singapore. We wanted to start trying for a baby after the honeymoon but I've been reading a lot of information that it won't be safe to do so until 6 months have passed. Anyone been is similar situation? How high is the risk of zika in Singapore?

My DH and I went to Mexico on honeymoon, also a Zika area. If you catch it it will stay in you for 8 weeks, then you're clear. It stays in your husband for longer hence the 6 month wait to TTC. There is a test you can have done privately but it's not 100% accurate.

DH and I were planning on TTC straight after honeymoon but we are glad we have waited the 6 months as now we can try without any niggling doubts about whether the private test was correct.

To be honest the 6 months have flown by. They seem shorter than the 2WW I am currently in!
