Detecting ovulation some months but not others?

So last month was my second cycle after coming off cerelle. AF IS regular, 28 day cycle. Last month, I got positive opks on cd13, and had ovulation cramps on my left side on cd14. My bbt also spiked after.

This month, I'm now on cd15. I've had no positive opks (taking 2/3 a day) and I haven't had the ovulation cramping either. I'm currently on my way to the USA for a week (work), and we put a lot of effort in this month dtd the last 6 days, but was it futile? What are the chances I just didn't detect ovulation this month, or has it just not happened yet? I only ever have period pains on the left hand side as well, but I think that's pretty normal.

I came off the pill in Dec last year.
This is our 3rd month ttc.
I had positive opk 1st cycle day 14
2nd cycle day 16, this cycle it was day 18 so we were probably well out this month due to that.
It will take some time for your cycles to return to normal, i am learning this fast. Even the NHS website says to give your body at least 3months to adjust.

Ok, that makes me feel a bit better, thanks. Although less hope for this month now.
