Dr Shehata AND Dr Quenby?! Is this a crazy plan

Hi
I'm hoping to get some advice
I've just had my 3rd MC, (2nd MMC) and by far this was the worst one yet.
I really don't want to have to go through this again.

My Gp says it will take a few weeks before I get a phone call from someone who will then give me options of which miscarriage clinic they will send me to. So basically I have to wait weeks before I wait weeks to be seen.

Useless!

I want answers sooner rather than later!

So I have made an appointment with Dr S for end of April - it was the earliest he could see me.
But do I also self refer to dr quenby?

Or do I not bother with Dr S and see someone else entirely?

From what I've understood dr s and dr q have similar but ultimately differing techniques would it be too confusing/ pointless to see both?
In the bloody aftermath of what I just endured - am I being too crazy?

Also do I start doing acupuncture?!

Or ?

Advice
Positive stories
And general help welcome

Thanks

So sorry for your losses xx.

As a previous successful patient of Dr S I would definitely recommend him. No experience of Prof Quenby but have heard very good things about her too. It’s personal choice really and if you research both maybe you might feel swayed to one more than the other? Dr S was brilliant in my experience - good luck xx

So sorry for your losses, such an awful time for you.

We went with Mr Shehata after two late mcs, heard so many success stories but we really thought we would be the ones it wouldn't work for. But it did! Thanks to Mr S and his team of consultants we have a ten week-old baby boy snoozing as we speak.

Best of luck with what you decide.

So sorry you’re going through this. We went with Mr S after 2 mmc and now have perfect 8 week old baby boy. Good luck whatever route you choose xx

Professor Quemby oversaw my latest pregnancy. I hadn’t had any miscarriages previously she just happened to be the Consultant I was assigned to.

She’s quite a character and very lovely.

@Vintagegirl77 & @pickledsausage wow gcongratulations to the both of you! What a beautiful outcome
It's stories like these that give me hope!

If you don't mind me asking what did he diagnose you both with?
Did you end up with high nk cells?
I just can't wait to see him now and get onto the road to TTC again

@zarala I had high NK cells, so I had steroids, cyclogest and intralipids.

MATTSMAMMA · 12/03/2018 22:08

It’s LUCKY here - I’ve namechanged back to my original name! I was diagnosed with high NK cells but also have hypothyroidism and he said my antibodies were high too. xx
