Talk to me about spotting...

So, I always had spotting before AF. But in December and January it started really early- around 4/5 DPO. This month, it stayed away until around 8/9 DPO and then on 12DPO I got a very unexpected BFP! However, the spotting continued until the day after my period would have been due. It then stopped. I’ve had no more spotting since Saturday and still testing positive.
However, I can’t relax. I genuinely haven’t even felt happy yet even though it’s a much wanted pregnancy.
Has anyone had spotting in early pregnancy? Xx

look up implantation bleeding that sounds like what you have had. if you still can't relax book a go appointment with your GP but a BFP is a BFP so huge congratulations :-)

I've had spotting in my third pregnancy. The day after my bfp I had a bit of light bleeding. I had a scan which dated me at 6 weeks and all was fine. I had the same at 9 and 16 weeks and all still fine.
My fourth pregnancy I had the same again the day I had my bfp, then nothing till 30 weeks. Was told it was old blood and very common
I think it was old implantation blood that hadn't all came out.

I had spotting in my first pregnancy which was very likely implantation bleeding and sounds similar. I haven't had any with my recent BFP though so it's not always a given.

I’ve had five pregnancies with various outcomes. I’ve spotted with them all. It’s really normal and unless you’re in pain, isn’t cause to worry.

Thank you for replying. It’s a wait and see situation I suppose. I’m just trying not to think about it xx
