Implantation Bleeding? Help please!

After some advice please. I'm on cycle 2 after coming off contraception which I've been on for 16 years.
My first cycle was a very normal 28 days. Nothing unusual.
According to this, AF isn't due until next Tuesday, however I began spotting yesterday morning. Very light pink/red blood. I stopped all day and started again overnight, but very light flow (not enough for a tampon so am just wearing a panty liner). It is definitely more red than pink now though.
If it was AF I would expect it to be heavier by now, but so far it's not.
I've taken a test and it's BFN - but it may well be too early for it to show up.
Can anyone advise whether this is likely to be the beginnings of AF or implantation bleeding?
Has anyone had anything similar?

I had implantation bleeding with my second pregnancy and it was two days until I got a positive test.
I've also had mid-cycle spotting that wasn't pregnancy related and was just wonky hormones. Sometimes your body needs some time to readjust after coming off birth control.
It's a waiting game I'm afraid!

@NoseringGirl Thank you - if you don't mind me asking, what colour was your bleeding?

It was red blood, I thought it was AF starting.

@NoseringGirl I've just gone to the toilet and it's now very red, and I'd say it's a light flow as opposed to simply spotting. Looks like AF to me Sad

Sorry it’s looking like AF 😣, mine was pink and watery and lasted half a day. I didn’t get a bfp until 6 days after though.

Sorry to hear that!

Thank you Sad
