I had acupuncture when TTC DS2. My acupuncturist suspected my PCOS well before my gynaecologist diagnosed it. She also knew I was pregnant before I did.
I honestly think it helped me get pregnant but I felt so relaxed during and after my sessions that it was worth it just for that. I continued all the way through pregnancy as well.

I had a session yesterday and it was amazing! Felt very relaxed. I've got such hopes for it though, and feel like I need to take my expectations down a notch...

I had my first session today, I don't know what to make of it. He says I will need 4 sessions and take 3 types of herbs

I had my first session on Wednesday, I didnt find it that relaxing though was waiting on phone call so that didnt help 🙈. Im doing it once a week for a month then cutting back a bit as couldnt afford to keep it up!

SoozC · 09/03/2018 21:21

I've had 5 sessions, the first 4 one every week then just dropped to once every other week. I find them very relaxing and had a "good" af. Think I'm just in the tww so don't have a success story yet but I am feeling incredibly positive this cycle for some reason. I'll let you know at the end of the month! Grin

Just thought I would share... I was part of a study trial to show if there are benefits to do acupuncture during an ivf cycle and then embryo transfer.
After the trial ended I found out I was in the active group (so I was given real acupuncture and not the placebo).
The study then tracked how successful the ivf was and the findings were that it was 50/50. The success/life births rates were not increased with acupuncture but many women found they relaxed more throughout the cycle.
I hated acupuncture and found it painful so was convinced I was in the "fake" acupuncture group and they were doing it wrong. But I wasn't and I had success, so who knows Hmm

I had acupuncture for my 2nd (& only successful) IVF cycle after ×3 failed IUI & x1 failed IVF. Currently 30 Weeks pregnant.

Was it the acupuncture? Was it the right cocktail of drugs? Was it the endo scratch? Was it the embryo glue? Who knows. It did make me feel relaxed & I only had 3 or 4 sessions so coat was under £200 so definitely worth it IME.

I had acupuncture when trying for my first DD. She completely changed my cycle. Went from 35 days to 28 days and fell pregnant not long after she'd sorted out my cycle.

Make sure the acupuncturist is registered with the British Acupuncture Council - this makes sure they are professionally qualified.

Good luck
