Snowed in - desperate to take a test

Hi all.
I know you can't tell me if I'm pregnant or not but I do wish you could. Lol.
I just need to tell someone.
So my period was due last Saturday so 8 days ago. I felt bloated, breathless and boobs were sore at the time so I took a test. It was negative. The sore boobs always happen before a period anyway. On the Monday after I got a job. Woohoo.
Now I've been snowed in since Thursday.
My boobs are feeling fuller and nipples are sore, I'm breathless, feel fuller but am always hungry and run to the loo a lot. Since yesterday Ive been feeling slightly queasy in the evenings and got heartburn.
I may or may not be imagining these things... I already have 2 children so you'd think I know by now.
I done one of those diy pregnancy tests with bicarbonate of soda and according to the Internet that was negative.

I know I need to do a proper test but I'm unlikely to get out of here tomorrow as we live on a mountain with lots of snow.

I just wish you could magically let me know Grin

Hope you can get out to get that test soon! You could always try an OPK, they show positive for pregnancy but some women get an LH surge before their period as well so it wouldn't be conclusive!

Stephisaur · 05/03/2018 09:52

The bicarb test is only like 70% accurate, so might be wrong!

Can you get togged up and trek down the mountain? (I'm envisioning a scene like Bridget Jones 2 now lol) take the kids on a sled, they'll have a fab time :P

Hope you manage to test soon

SurfingGiantess · 05/03/2018 11:49

Thank you.
Haha it's very similar to that Bridget Jones actually.
Unfortunately I only have a toy snowboard. But I'm seriously considering taking my dog - she's an elkhound- to pull me around on that. Grin
All that training to get her to stop pulling the leash never really worked anyway.

Good it's only 70% so there is still a chance.
I did stock up on wine for the snowy days which I obviously can't drink now.
It would be nice to know for sure either way.
The snow is waist- deep so a sledge won't work. I seriously need a snow mobile.
I'm going crazy up here.
And we're loosing out on pay off work because town is accessible for everyone apart from us mountain people of course.
Shock

Good luck!! Smile

SurfingGiantess · 06/03/2018 19:18

I got out. A local farmer dug us out. It was a bit dodgy but worth it.
