Confused

Hi ladies,
I had a 4 day period on the 4th Feb, then on CD 22 I had brown bleeding for 2 days, my AF was originally meant to start today which hasn't arrived. I've done a couple of first response test, one on Friday and one today, both negative.
I've felt nauseous for the last week but not been sick, bloated and heavy lower abdomen with the odd tugging feeling, slightly tingling/itchy boobs.
I'm so confused, surely if I was pregnant the test would be positive by now? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Has anyone had a negative then got a positive result late on?

Do you normally have regular cycles? It could be that you're pregnant but there's not enough hcg to show up on the test yet or you've ovulated late so your period will be late or it's an anovulatory cycle (which can happen a lot of women at some point apparently) in which case you'll either skip a month altogether, have a break through bleed at some point or ovulate then have a period at a later date.
Unfortunately it's a case of waiting to see what happens and testing again to see if it's pregnancy. If AF doesn't arrive and you're still getting negatives, then you could always try speaking to your GP but they generally aren't interested until you've missed a couple of cycles.
Hope you get answers soon!

@NoseringGirl thank you for the reply

tbh my period have been a little irregular the last few months, going from 33, 38, 24 and to include this one if the 2 days were my AF would make a 21day cycle. 🤯😫

Is that after coming off birth control or have they just started to go wonky?

I came off the implant a year ago, just the last few months are irregular, getting fed up with it now😩 hopefully this month will be better 🤞🏽

Irregular cycles are a massive pain. Hopefully they sort themselves out soon!
