Hi all,
I’m keen to give the clear blue digital OPKs a go but am unsure when I should start using them. I stopped taking cerelle on 1st Feb (TTC#1 so a real newbie) and am still awaiting AF. For the last week or so I’ve had cramping, sore breasts and PMT so am wondering if maybe this is my AF without the bleeding because my lining hasn’t built up enough yet after not having any periods for the 2 years I was on cerelle. I’m fairly sure I ovulated mid Feb judging by my CM. Did a first response this morning which was negative. Basically, my question is- should I start OPKs now or hold out until after AF? Very grateful for any advice!

Hi @Chip22
I can offering no experienced advice unfortunately but merely a suggestion
I know those tests are expensive so I wouldn't want you to waste them, if you don't wanna wait until your period, although I think you need a withdrawal bleed, you can always order some cheap opks off amazon? You can get about £20 for around a fiver, might give you a better idea what's going on?

Not £20 haha sorry long day, 20 tests

Thanks DaisyMay, I did think about the one step ones on amazon but as dh and I are both shift workers I’d really like the extra notice you can get with the clear blue. Think I might get quite stressed out by only finding out I’m ovulating on the day! So I’d be prepared to pay the extra (at least for the first few months) for the extra notice as well as the reassurance I’m actually getting my LH surges!
