Hi,

I’ve been off the pill well over a year I’ve always had 25 day cycles occasionally 24 but never late.... last month I had a 28 day cycle and this month I was due yesterday and currently nothing I believe it’s going to be another 28 day cycle because I’m cramping.
Is there any reason known why all of a sudden they have changed?

In my experience, periods are a fickle thing! If you've experienced any stress/weight loss/weight gain/ the wind blew the wrong way then this might affect your cycle. Hopefully someone can explain this a bit better than me! :)

Cupcakes, it's very normal for your cycle length to fluctuate by a few days. It may take a particular egg a bit longer to mature, and then there are all of the environmental factors too...

Irregular periods are where the range is more than 8 days! I've seen three threads in recent days where people have a couple day variation and leap to irregularity!!

For example, my consultant has said my periods are irregular because in the last two years they can be anywhere from 28-39 days. But I don't consider them irregular because (without clomid) they are mostly 35 days, which only a few outlying cycles.

You're not a machine. Bodies are extremely complex, so cut yourself some slack.
